yogsloth: I find the concept of setting something on fire and then intentionally breathing the resulting burning smoke into my lungs to be... of incomprehensible benefit.
"But it's relaxing!"
Yeah, so is taking a nap, and I don't have to do irreparable fire damage to my internal organs.
"But check it out dude... it's weeeeeed... you can get
soooooo high..."
Fantastic. Check please.
Good for you, most people do unhealthy things or have bad habits. Smoking, chewing, drugs, alcohol, unhealthy food, lack of exercise, drink too much soda or coffee, eat too much spicy foods... whatever it may be. Unless you're an absolute health nut.
I have very bad anxiety, can't exactly take a nap when it feels like my world is falling apart. If that happens when I'm out and about I step outside and smoke because it does calm my nerves a bit. It also forces me to talk to other people smoking which can help get my mind away from the meltdown it created.
As for smoking a pipe, I tried it a long time ago, and it was mostly enjoyable. I was a lot younger and a more heavy marijuana smoker instead of tobacco so I just preferred a bong or a bowl. Nowadays I flipped it around and enjoy tobacco more so maybe I should consider a pipe again?
