Bavarian: I'm curious about other people's sleeping habits. How long do you take to fall asleep? Do you have any rituals? A pillow between your legs or something like that? Do you wear pyjamas, or boxers, or do you sleep naked? How many hours of sleep per day do you need? Do you prefer your blanket thin or thick? Do you snore or thrash around in your sleep?
Stomach sleeper here as well. Usually fall asleep right away (within 5 minutes if settling down for the night). My ritual generally consists of reading for an hour or so before packing it in. I just sleep in my undies (but the wife likes to sleep in the buff - I like it! :P) I generally sleep 6 to 7 hours. Even if I wanted to, I don't tend to sleep longer. I wake up after 6 hours or so and that's it. I like a cold room with lots of blankets. As to snoring, it was getting so bad that my wife was sleeping downstairs and even then she could hear me. I went to a sleep clinic and it turns out I have a mild sleep apnea. Got one of those CPAP machines and now I don't snore and I sleep far better (used to wake up feeling like I had been wresting with a mutated platypus). The machine has forced me to learn to go to sleep on my back, which I loathed, but now I;m getting used to it. I've also managed to get to a point where I can sleep on either side without interfering with the mask/hose. My only real wish with the situation is that I could get a mask like the ones the TIE Fighter pilots have in Star Wars. Wife probably wouldn't like that too much though...
