Crim25: But I must say it´s a bit funny it´s named GoG = good old games yet so damn much new IP´s I understand they need to make more money but still.
I also understand it´s not only up to gog but I wish companies would just agree more often I mean we are often talking about games that made them I mean look at blizzard they have their own damn store yet they never sold Warcraft 1 or 2 or diablo 1 or 2 the games that basically made them who they are. Also if they want to make money why the hell not sell old games in their store when people clearly would buy them ?
sorry for the slow replay i damn forgotten I made this post hehe.
Your first paragraph: Eventually all games reach market saturation(for the titles they sell) and the rights holders only allow them to sell what they allow & what they have the full rights for(usually). Also important is noting which games can be made workable on new systems easily....those get the gog treatment faster, usually.
As such, there are only so many games they can bring here with those criteria in mind.....unless they get more rights holders on board, that is.
Your second paragraph: Some of the same criteria from my first reply part also applies here. Also some rights holders don't want to sell old versions of their games when they can sell new versions for more money once they make them.
Your third paragraph: Not a problem.

DadJoke007: If you own a liquor store, you can't sell my specific brand of whiskey without me striking up a deal with you. Be it by proxy or directly, you can't sell it if I don't wanna give you that right.
Some might sell said whiskey out the back of their truck/etc and bypass all that red tape, or they might buy said whiskey from other stores and then sell it themselves(as it is their property then to do with, for the most part, as they will).
