Fonzer: So either this is a mistake on taleworlds since there is no mention of getting all modes by just getting warband and the store pages don't say anything that you will get those dlc modes on other game store pages.
avatar
Syphon72: Steam page say anything about it?
Actually i meant the store pages of gog warband dlcs but i checked steam and didn't notice anything like that yet. They are still selling dlcs on steam as on gog

Interesting. I'm not really sure how to feel about this one.

An update for Mount & Blade: Warband was released today, however we've found some issues with the build, and had to roll it back. The developer is aware of the situation and will be looking into it. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Why on earth does it take you guys ages to do the correct thing? Why do you have to wait until a user requests a refund? Why do you even deny that refund and risk losing a customer?

No, I don't expect a reply - I am used to get the silent treatment fom you guys by now - so this is a rhetorical question I expect GOG to think about. This behavior is a sure way to lose customers ... year long customers I might to add.

And since you obviously still are alive mr. mod - how about looking at the spam report thread for a change, or have you planned to wait until this forum has been swamped by spam before removing anything from those reported issues?

Well, these are indeed good news. Thank you for telling me.

Revan509: Cry more or use Galaxy
wow, someone willing to show just how big an arse they are. Impressive! Most folks would be hesitant to show just what an asshole they are but you're proud of it. You go man! Too bad you're from France, there's a political party right here in the US that you would fit perfectly into.

StingingVelvet: People have been saying that on this forum for literally 10 years. People have also said GOG will embrace DRM any day now for 10 years. Yet here GOG remains, doing what it always did.
It never happens.... until it happens.

And nothing has happened. I guess if you wait long enough, anything can happen or alter the definition of what is happening so it can happen. lol

rjbuffchix: I would consider a game being unplayable offline/without Galaxy "broken" and what concerns me more is that it would remain up for sale in this broken state so new buyers would be stuck buying the "broken" version until the issue is fixed.
avatar
BrianSim: That's normal for other games on the site too. I'm tempted to send GOG a "Happy 2nd Anniversary" cake for broken Saints Row 3 Remastered offline installer seemingly abandoned after 2 years (both the game and the 'investigation' into it)...
Also just seeing your resposne...yes that is a pretty irksome example. It is just flat out bad design when games use online/client dependencies for stuff that doesn't need it in any way.

I tried the installer a couple of days ago, it works perfectly.

The game itself has issues, but not the installer. It does not matter wheter you install it through Galaxy or the offline installer, saving options won't work if you don't play it using Galaxy.

And yes, I am kinda pissed as well, that they "will look into it" and then nothing for two years.

Lukin86: I got the answer from gog support. He refuses to refund me because the purchase is too old and tells me to go through galaxy to update the game.

I decided to open a dispute against gog for false advertising. Because galaxy which supposedly in their pub is optional now officially becomes mandatory.

It's really shameful such a lie from gog. I also demand that gog now clearly state on their sites that galaxy is now mandatory to update games.
For the refund that's pretty normal :
https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006129837?product=gog
you stated in another answer the game was bought in 2014 / and 2015 for the DLC
I would have asked a compensation at this point ... for the pathetic support. (Client is optional and GOG is isn't able to create offline installers ? or Devs need to provide an offline installer ... WTF ? Where are we going ?)

However i agree for everything else.

The bot in the support section is almost useless...if behind there's not enough humans for helping customers .... Bot was supposed helping the support (humans) .... but how it works ... it does the contrary >.> .... Last time i used it , an uploaded file was lost in limbo, lol.

Hopefully the updated offline installer has been released now.

I just think GOG has to many games in their catalog since quite some time and not enough humans ressources to handle all problems .Plus having an online version (client) and an offline installer for each game doesnt help .... That would explain the bot in the support section and their attempt to push customers to use the client.

I don't use the client (for the record)

Hope they can fix the issues soon. But do you have to be so cryptic in your response. Were there other issues than the unwanted dlc or are there also any bugs with the game. Anyway do feel like playing some warband again. But guess i will play it after the update that will probably appear soon.

On Topic

Speaking of offline installers being neglected, I can go one further: In Verbis Virtus has no Offline Installers period

I wrote a ticket today(after getting past the pesky bot, of course), and
uploaded a screenshot with the ticket showing my distinct lack of game.

*crosses fingers* Here's hoping it gets fixed before the next decade.

Clownski_: Apologies for the inconvenience.
Just pinging ya so that y'all at staff get an extra notification(beyond my ticket) about this issue
