Syphon72: Would that be the Air table list?
I don't know. I just know that we once tried to get rid of those differences once and for all. We started with a few games games and back then GOG even answered and helped. Then mrkgnao told me about this long list they still have and we forwarded just a few of them to GOG again ... but the silence. I am sure if you would contact mrkgnao they would tell you how many games we are talking about - in any case it is not just a handful (which is something I assumed before as well). So the problem does in fact exist. If GOG really would WANT to fix this they would ask for this list and fix every single outdated offline installer.
Syphon72: Edit: You said the support tickets are not being answered? I got a reply back from someone after three days. It was a live person, and he tried to help. But by that time, I had found the solution. There was no use for Galaxy as the solution.
It depends. Sometimes I was lucky as well and I was wondering why so many complained - but right now ... at least since they've changed their support *cough* system ... not more than an automatic reply or at the very best "forwarded to the proper team". In any case none of it was helpful.
Syphon72: I find it odd it took angelblue over an hour to make a ticket when it took me 10 minutes to get past that Devilish bot. One thing I do agree with is the bot needs to go!
Not saying GOG support is good. I probably would say there okay from my experience.
I get high blood pressure when I have to talk to the bot so I skipped it completely using the known script. I've heard that chosing "other" and "other" does the same though. Before I used that script however I experienced first hand that the bot sometimes tend to go in circles so it would not surprse me if someone would actually almost not be able to contact support at all. Here's a good question btw: why should a company make it as hard as possible to contact their support if they are really willing to help? Why isn't there a direct "bot can't help me, get me to ticket creation" button? This way those that don't need personal support might stil get help but they would not be forced to fight with the bot or the database that is missing their issue. When they iontroduced this crappy thing of a software I created a thread in which I complained about this and many joined my opinion ... bot is still there. GOG is listening to our feedback since years but they rarely ever act.
