Today i found out that several of my games are missing from purchase history and my account. The missing games are complete editions of all Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate and Clive Barker's Undying. Anyone else encountered this problem?

Did you buy the directly from here?
Contact support as it's probably a bug.

I bought them in a GOG Galaxy application with my card.

Nope, unfortunately that didn't help. I hope my discussion with support will bear any fruit.

Could you perhaps check and see if the transaction went though on a statement from your bank or equivalent?
There is a thread in the forum weeks ago.
It is a known bug of GOG.
Contact GOG Support should work for you.

hmm seems to be one of those games going poof kind of things... yeah contact support, I had issues like this before when about 157 games from my 278 went missing for 3 days straight or something but came back before support could do anything. It's one of those bugs that have been going on since years back and it's pretty normal around here. don't worry you will get those games back! :)
But surely everyone is downloading each game brought at purchase time, and backing them up on multiple backup devices. I mean this THE biggest reason to buy here is that your not reliant on the web to manage your digital media?

Some of us are just lazy and/or don't have enough free storage space at the moment of purchase (I shall soon be rid of the latter problem, for a little while at least).

Nope, too much effort.
Also diskspace costs money.

Mostly just so I can start games without needing to worry about Steam not booting up for whatever reason.

Where I live!? XD
It would take me years to download everything.

And stop calling me Shirley.

Yeah, I used to back up a few (and if I download an installer rather than using Galaxy it goes on my backup drive because it might as well) but unless I have reason to believe Gog is going to cease to exist or restrict access to my games in some way then I don't download everything.

Keeping them all up to date would be far too much effort when I probably won't install or play most of them in the near future anyway.
