MysterD: I'd love to see that happen.
Looks like it was only on Sega CD -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_of_the_Alien So, yeah - we'd probably need a port in the first place for the old version; and/or need a remaster.
karnak1: Thanks. Now I see why I could never find it anywhere. I don't even remember seeing it on the consoles section back in the day.
There's also the thing that Eric Chahi (creator of Out of this World/Another World) - who approved of the game b/c Interplay insisted on a sequel, BTW - later did disown the game b/c it flopped sales-wise.
It probably never had a chance, since Sega CD was not cheap, back in the day.
So, he might not even care about securing the rights to this (if he doesn't own the rights to it now) or might not even care about this studio-sequel game b/c he disowned it and he did not develop it.
DoomSooth: I only ever saw it once in a bin at Electronics Boutique and it was overpriced. Also, I didn't own a Sega CD. This was 27 years ago. Had I known emulation was going to take off, I'd have bought it.
karnak1: I really don't know where I got the idea that it had also been converted to the PC. Or maybe I was mistaking it for
Heart of Darkness, I don't know
Yeah, you possibly did mistaken it...as Heart of Darkness is a Eric Chahi game.
Granted, Eric did not develop Heart of the Alien - but that is a studio-sequel that Interplay wanted to capitalize off Eric's Out of this World/Another World game.
Both games do have Heart in the title - so yeah, I can see how it can get confusing. Plus, both of those games aren't recent titles.
