zeogold: If this were a real-life Secret Hitler game, we'd all have two ballot cards, one saying yes, the other saying no, in our hands. Each person would pick one and put it in front of themselves, upside down, and then everyone'd flip all of them simultaneously when all votes are on the table.
I played Resistance a lot, which has the same voting mechanism. But in practice we rarely use them. We just discuss it first, and usually get a yes or no vote straightaway. Only resort to these if it's obvious there is a deadlock and discussing it in open won't bring a result.
(Not that the above trivia is anyhow related to this, just thought I'd mention it).
