It seems that Falcon 4.0 has been removed from customer accounts. I can confirm it (it is not in the library anymore). I do not think companies should remove games from accounts even if they are "just" bonus.

I asked about it a few hours ago in the Microprose discord, waiting for a response.
ALWAYS download the extras and bonus material, as soon as possible.

The respective developers/publishers might be forbidden from removing the game (since you paid for it and removal would equal a breach of contract or theft even?) but, as this shows once again, the extras seem to be NOT covered by this.
Oh I usually download the extras, but will interest me why the removal, given that is a separate game.
Still waiting for an answer in the discord, will update as soon as i get a response.

A judge might see this differently if said extras were listed on the original product page and therefore also part of the purchase decision effectively reducing the base price of the game because of the additional content. However probably only a few would like to bring GOG to court ...
Whoever removed this is a big meanie. Perhaps the Grinch has arrived early this year.

This is a huge slap in the face to anyone who bought this, and it ought to be reinstated immediately.
To be honest, I'm seriously pissed right now!
After "Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition", another game that has been purchased in which content is subsequently deleted from the library!

Deleting content from the library is not ok!
I only bought Falcon Gold because of the Falcon 4.0 bonus!!! :-(((
This reminds me i need to do downloads with gogdownloader py on my new server. I've only done main installers.
I'm not really affected, since I download my files always immediately after purchase, but this is not ok.

I'm usually not one of the doomsayers here, in regard to DRM on GOG, but he possibility of the rights holder to remove games from a buyer's account, is THE definition of DRM.

no, no it is not.

the difference between DRM and DRM free is that on a DRMd platform, the game would have been removed from you machine as well as from your account. for DRM free, you are supposed to remove the game from your machine yourself, the platform cant do it.

edit - the online account you have on gOg belongs to gOg, if they are forced to remove a game becouse of the rightolders, then they have to do it. they can not remove the game from your machines, which belongs to you

Fortunately I still had the earlier Falcon Gold offline installers so I just copied the Falcon 4.0 installer and manual to the side, so that I don't accidentally delete them when refreshing my offline installer library the next time...

Why was the Falcon 4.0 installer in the extras anyway? Wasn't it officially supported, ie. not guaranteed to work (at all)?
Falcon 4.0 was proudly displayed in bold in the snapshot from April 26th of this year.

https://web.archive.org/web/20230426022809/https://www.gog.com/en/game/falcon_collection

By the time the next snapshot was made on May 29th, someone had sneakily removed it from the description.

https://web.archive.org/web/20230529184154/https://www.gog.com/en/game/falcon_collection

And now the file has been removed from the server. We have proof that something has been going on with Falcon 4.0 over a period of time. Someone is deliberately messing with our stuff.

Well...I (and maybe you and maybe even 99% of all "Falcon 4.0" owners here on GOG) can still install and play the game - because we downloaded the files in time.
But everyone who missed to download it, while it was in their accounts, is now left out in the cold.
For everyone affected, this is no different from Steam removing a game from their account (and preventing the already installed game from starting).
So, I stay by my comment: this is THE definition of DRM.
A friend in the German forum speculated that it might appear as a separate game (i.e. decoupled) here.

I'm so disappointed at the moment that I don't want to buy anything in the near future. :(((

Could you elaborate on that?
