Also, here is a link to a guide on Steam to greatly improve the visuals of the game:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=486972895 Many things can't be tweaked in the options like LOD levels, shadows, texture quality etc.
Use the manual method of editing registry at the end of the guide. Just tried and it works wonders. Some notes to every place that is mentioned in the guide:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Debug] Here he changes the spell slot ordering. No need to do this IMO.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Graphics] You can turn on MultiSampling if you want. DON'T turn on TrippleBuffer and VSync. The game works perfectly for me with these 2 disabled.
Definitely disable CompressedTextures
And as for horizontal FOV, the game was made for 4:3 resolution. You can put higher in here but the image seemed stretched to me if I did it. Up to you.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Graphics\Lighting] Definitely increase MaxLights to allow unlimited lights rendering.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Graphics\Models] Do everything in the guide. This disables the noticeable LOD changes based on distance. Allow BumpMapping too for good measure. This is THE most important change to make to improve overall visuals.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Graphics\Shadows] Follow the guide, except for Intensity. The default is 2, but he makes the shadows not as dark by reducing it to 1.2.
2 seems perfectly fine to me.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Graphics\VertexProcessing] It was already the same as in the guide so no change needed here.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Input] Here you can disable mouse acceleration.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Options\Video] These are the actual in-game settings. You can set these from the game itself.
