Only 1 gig of memory -- not only required, but even recommended? That's gotta be a typo.

Can you even run Win7 with just a gig of RAM? Last I checked it requires 1 to 2 gigs, which pretty much meant 2 gigs (cause you're gonna be running stuff beyond the OS).

Dunno -- I don't think I've seen system requirements for any version of Windows since the '90s. After all, it usually comes pre-installed on a new computer by the OEM or store that built it, and it's not like they're gonna install it on a machine that can't even run it (unless they're cripplingly incompetent). :)

That doesn't necessarily mean it's not wrong -- it might just mean that they copied & pasted from there, so now it's wrong the same way in two places. ;)

I love Image & Form's Steamworld Dig games and this is a nice, competent dev studio that I kind of want to support, but, to be fair, this game is absolutely NOT my cup of tea... turn-based, cards/deck building, "RPG"-lite, (probably) tactical... still, the artwork looks incredible, as usual. I didn't get Steamworld Heist, either, as the whole "turn-based tactical" stuff put me off, but I might just get this one to support the guys making Steamworld Dig.

Next month, I mean. My wallet's still hurting from that Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order.

boggydigital: Awesome release, thank you! Any chance we'll see a version for macOS available elsewhere?
It's on Steam, so why it's not here, I have no idea. It's unfortunately somewhat common lately where Mac/Linux versions show up later with no announcement, but they do have Linux here now, so that's kind of weird.
Neat! I've always wanted to dive into the Steam World games, and now I have no excuse. My poor wallet is crying though... stop with all the great releases, GOG :'(

You can easily run 32 bit Windows 7 on 1 GB of RAM. Windows 10 on the other hand? Definitely not.

True :D, thats because Windoze 10 is bloatware

Just one of the many

Uninstall Windows 10 Bloatware Apps. Some of the Windows 10 bloatware is easy to remove using a regular uninstall. This appears to work for several apps included in the Windows 10 installation package, such as Money, News, Sports, and a few others clogging up your Start menu.
How to Easily Remove Bloatware From Windows 10 - MakeUseOf
https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/easily-remove-bloatware-windows-10/
Windoze 10 is still loaded with ads aswell:

Google: ads in windows 10

filter : past month

and has still 'spyware'

Google : windows 10 spyware

filter: past month

without the filter it will show everything related: About 31.100.000 results (0,38 seconds)

Anyway Windoze is bad and will never be any good, cause that would mean M$ would have to admit it 'failed' on many aspects with Windozer 10, and they are to proud to admit it , the previous CEO (s) found it hard to admit they made mistakes , but the last one .... will never change the M$ course and keep on following the set M$ course.

Back on topic: so its nice to see a game that only requires 1 GB RAM to run at Minimum requirements cause there arent that many, if any exist at all :D so cheers to the first game that only need 1 GB ram or maybe 2 but that is still super cause many games i own need at least 2 , usually 4 at Min. requirements.:D

It's always a bit of a question whether or not the OS is included in those memory requirements. My stance would that it is not, since the dev can't know what stuff their users are running. People tend to disagree with me though.
Anyway, I just loaded up the Linux version of the game, loaded my save and it requires 485 MB of residential memory.

They should be the min / recomm. req., cause thats the way it was written in every game manual and on the back of the cd/ dvd box .

see attachment: forkinthetale.png
I show this one as an example :D to show what i refert to.

Screenshot taken from the PDF manual of the game ( online)
I have the original game got it when it was released :D
Ofcourse it wont run :D on new windows / hardware :D

Anyway the req. mentioned in the discription should be the min and recomm., provided they did not make a typo ...
cause more "typo's " were made on Steam when it come to game information , you'd be suprised how many typos big commercial companies make :D, custoemer like us are allowed to make them, big companies with lots of staff are not :D they should triple check everything and then triple check again :D

Oh wait, there's the Mac version. I'm glad that was fixed fairly quickly.
Just bought it since the Mac version appeared, but there's no Mac version (standalone) installer to download from my library - I don't use Galaxy on my Mac. =/
It will probably show up in a day or two.

I believe it's been added - I see it in my account.
