Explore a revised version of the classic console FPS set in the ancient Egyptian city of Karnak!
Genre: Action

Hikage1983: One of my fave Sega Saturn games revived.
Nuff said.

*tosses money at screen*
Basically this :D
Love this game but where' the obligatory 10% "come buy me!" discount

Pardinuz: Amazing release, GOG. A must have for me! + Bonus points for sounding exactly like the name of a metal band/album. \m/

TheBigCore: And not just any heavy metal album. Arguably, one of the genre's most iconic, as well as regarded by many as Iron Maiden's best album:

You're right! I didn't even realize that. :) There's the obligatory unofficial soundtrack.
I missed this title somehow and never had the occasion to play it. I love retro shooters however, so it's an obligatory addition to my wishlist. NightDive is in perfect shape, as I see... :)
Very cool but why no native linux release?

Mr.Mumbles: I wonder if it has a bullshit invisible timer for the last level like the DOS version. Forced to lose the game because I wasn't rushing it just made me mad. Didn't bother to properly finish it then. =/
avatar
idbeholdME: Isn't the timer visible in multiple places throughout the level? I thought it was pretty obvious when I played it.
Can't remember. Maybe it was. It still doesn't change the fact that timed missions/levels are crap. At least in turn-based games I can plan around them. Not so in anything real-time based.

It actually sounds like the console versions were sufficiently different enough that this may actually be worth a purchase even with me already owning the PC one.

Now if only they could still bring the Quake remaster here. *kicks Bethesda*

I am waiting for that one too :)

It sure is. Plot is the same but the rest is absolutely different. If Powerslave was a traditional FPS, Exhumed was a "Metroid Prime prototype"
You can watch the DF retrospect if you want more details on the differences between versions.

The port seems to take the satun version of the original game as its base for further improvements.

I agree, reminds me of the timer mission in Forsaken Remastered! What was with those dang timers back then? My interest in the game waned right at that level, though I think I finally was able to get through it after some practice.

I don't remember anything like that in the console versions of Powerslave, though.

Good to see it's finally out.

SCAgent: There is a 10% off discount on steam, why not on gog?
Because NightDive llloooooves Steam, but haaaates gog.

They love Steam so much they put out a remastered version of Quake and then never bothered to release it on gog.

Lovely folks!

This has to do with Bethesda, not Night Dive. Same reason there was no PC physical for Doom/Quake from Limited Run.

There's questionable things to do with Throwback however and Judge Dredd if we're picking at wounds though
Edit: nvm, easy fix, refunded and repurchased.

So, this morning this was full price and I insta-bought. Now I see it's 10% off (presumably to match Steam)? Will you be refunding the 10% difference to those of us who pulled the trigger too soon?
