When one of these types of games appears here it often feels like:
''every game I want to buy is being passed over for, this?'' Still I'll give my opinion about the matter, and thus:
tremere110: No unrated patch?
Either choose to sell the game in full or don't sell it.
If GOG wants to beat out competition like Steam/etc then they should be aggressive in making sure the version of any game they sell (regardless of what it is) is the most complete version possible.
knightoforder: I doubt we're getting an uncersor patch here since even the game page tells you to go to Kagura's site to obtain said patch
From what I can see the Kagura Games site also requires you to create an additional account with them and
provide billing information to obtain the 'free' patch. (I could be mistaken about this...)
I've seen people complaining on GOG's forums when a login to an additional website is required to obtain accesss to either multiplayer or DLC so I would expect this would also be met with a lukewarm reception.
GOG.com: This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages or may not be appropriate for viewing at work.
Buying this game on GOG you will receive a censored version of the game. For more information about the game's content, please visit the publisher's website: Kagura Games
To me the whole thing just seems like an odd business decision on GOG's part.
If GOG can exceed what its competitors are doing and provide a better product just by including this patch why aren't they doing so when they have previously offered similar patches on their site?
