Darvond: I sure am glad we're getting this generic RPG Maker game where the art quality notably dips again when we face against someone who isn't a protag.

Instead of you know, a good game.

GOG's odyssey should be to find that unrated patch.
Can't remember the game but one did get released without the unrated patch but the patch then turned up about a week later.

That was Demon Sword: Incubus.

Trooper1270: Her facial expression hint's that she has already finished...
But the school has just started, hence the long face.
I doubt we're getting an uncersor patch here since even the game page tells you to go to Kagura's site to obtain said patch
When one of these types of games appears here it often feels like: ''every game I want to buy is being passed over for, this?''

Still I'll give my opinion about the matter, and thus:

tremere110: No unrated patch?
Either choose to sell the game in full or don't sell it.

If GOG wants to beat out competition like Steam/etc then they should be aggressive in making sure the version of any game they sell (regardless of what it is) is the most complete version possible.

From what I can see the Kagura Games site also requires you to create an additional account with them and provide billing information to obtain the 'free' patch. (I could be mistaken about this...)

I've seen people complaining on GOG's forums when a login to an additional website is required to obtain accesss to either multiplayer or DLC so I would expect this would also be met with a lukewarm reception.

GOG.com: This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages or may not be appropriate for viewing at work.
Buying this game on GOG you will receive a censored version of the game. For more information about the game's content, please visit the publisher's website: Kagura Games
To me the whole thing just seems like an odd business decision on GOG's part.

If GOG can exceed what its competitors are doing and provide a better product just by including this patch why aren't they doing so when they have previously offered similar patches on their site?

Nah you don't need to register for the patches although it is a bit hard to see.

From the Kagura Store:
"Don’t have an account? Click the patch tab below for download links!"

I can live with that small detour but I still think it's silly to not have the unrated patch here at GoG, so I hope it's just a fluke.

That disclaimer is on every Kagura game. That said, the patch hasn't materialized here yet so I'm guessing it might not be an error. Gog definitely makes some bizarre decisions.

Is it a GOG decision though? For all we know Kagura might have just said they didn't want the unrated patch on GOG. Is there any info that this was a GOG decision? Not trying to be a jerk I'm genuinely curious about who made the decision?

There's a GOG API entry for the patch, so I still think GOG just never got around to setting the product to Live.

Thanks for the info.
Still no patch dlc, any hope?

I contacted support and their reply was essentially to go check Kagura's website.

So Gog knows about the missing patch but don't want to host it. No idea why - is the heroine's boobs too small? Maybe they don't like the blood from losing her virginity? The h-scenes are otherwise pretty tame and unremarkable - perhaps it's just Gog being Gog with their weird curation, who knows?

Who would want to buy Return to Monkey Island of Stray when you can have more RPG maker porn shovelware?
