You can take a look at someone like Mangagamer with their licensing surveys and women make up over a third of their customer base. It's not just consuming the products that women are a taking part in either. There's so many women in the business itself and creating content. Some of the most popular hentai artists are in fact women.

Is gaming in general something that can be an addiction? How many people are self medicating with gaming and ruining their lives with an addiction that's out of control?
