That's so awesome we got it here! Thank you, Ironhide & GOG! I was convinced that the last instance of the series won't come here at all. I'm happy I was wrong about that :)

BTW, how come Iron Marines isn't on sale as well, missed opportunity :)
Awesome, can't wait to try this one out! Busy 100%-ing Frontiers as we speak
I would have said something on the lines of "shut up and take my money".

Unfortunately, the news post took too long and I already instabought it when I noticed it in the banner...
Awesome! Love the KR series.
Yes, I love the KR series, too - and own all the prequels.

But currently it is Windows only - while it had been available on all 3 PC platforms.
So missing GNU/Linux and macOS was not even mentioned - thus I opened a call
and also provide this info in the KR thread about this version formerly missing in GOG
totally:
https://www.gog.com/forum/kingdom_rush_series/kingdom_rush_vengeance/post8

Especially with this discount being available only for a short time GOG should
have given this info right with this announcement.
For anyone who is interested, it appears to work perfectly fine in my default Lutris Galaxy Wine bottle.

Why release this when Kingdom Rush: Frontiers is still outdated compared to the Steam version? Has been since August 31st of this year. I wish GOG would hold off on releasing games from devs/publishers who don't take care of the ones they're already selling here. The Monster Jam games are another good example, the first game is still outdated on GOG but they went ahead with releasing the sequel anyway.

Hey, what about to Update all availalbe games from Ironhide Game Studio (Kongdom Rush series + Iron Marines). In comparison to Steam versions - only Kingdom Rush Vengeance has !Achievements!, and only several games are with "Cloud saves" and "Overlay".
So GoG team, what will you do? (Will bring to gamers updates games mentioned before or ignore this request?)
All previous KR series games are great!
But I will wait for Linux version before buying this one.
Love the KR series... on mobile....

I agree with you about the Linux version.

About the Mac version, well...

I have a strange feeling, that macOS gaming in general (except for Apple arcade) is mostly EOL (end of life). Because:
1.) older 32-bit games wont get a 64-bit Intel version (ever)
2.) running 64-bit Intel x86 Mac applications on Apple Silicon CPUs will work only until Apple doesn't remove Rosetta 2 from macOS, that can happen in 2-3 years

How many native Apple Silicon/ARM games are out the (except the iOS games) for macOS? The last time I did check, I could count on my ten fingers.

Here is a list of tested Intel Mac games, that works on Apple Silicon:

I can't believe... just YESTERDAY bought the complete saga on Steam.

Was waiting to buy all here for months, or years. But yesterday couldn't resist the special offers...

What's wrong with many games that they wait so long to release on GOG? Is really so difficult to launch in another store?

ps: probably will buy here too, cause it is my favorite store lol but in another time.

Maybe all because of DRM-free politics at GoG store.
Companies (Devs/Publishers) don't want to remove DRM completely from their games. Maybe they are thinking that with DRM all gamers that want to play their games will buy that games. But that's working in another way: if someone don't have money to buy game at some point he/she will play game in another way (don't want to write how,- bacause here at gog, employees bacame really mad when gamers write about pir*cy).
In another situation - people that grew up with pira*y in mind - thay will play games in this way until they understood that by buing games they can support Devs and their endeavour.
+
Conclusion, Devs and / or Publishers don't want to remove DRM, bacuse in their mind DRM - really help to stop pira*y; at the same time gamers that don't want (cannot) to pay for games wouldn't buy games in all scenarious.

It costs more time/money/energy to make the games be GOG-ready, especially since GOG has offline installers that need to be updated with each new patch, and other platforms don't.

And another reason is also the same one you mentioned in the final statement of that quoted post: devs/publishers also want to milk money out of double dippers, who will buy the DRM-infested versions of the games when they first come out, and then re-buy the DRM-free versions of those same games when they come out years later.

But releasing the DRM-free version on day one would remove half of their income from the double dippers, which gives them heavy incentive not to release the DRM-free version on day one.
