rgnrk: Instabought.
I asked them for a drm-free version of it a while ago, but I didn't think GOG would accept a small beautiful artistic niche game like this. Especially with the Breja's of this world polluting release threads with their whining :P.
Breja: I keep forgetting only positive comments are allowed in release threads.
Nope.
That's NOT it at all.
Useful information is always appreciated. Like, you know, if there are bugs. Or you didn't like the story and why. If it's poorly translated or written. Pretty much anything but the graphics could be more useful. Your comments in this threads never are. It's all about your dislike about a certain artstyle. And it gets old, and annoying. We all know you don't like it. So what?
The game's artstyle is available to everyone, and everyone getting in this thread already knows about it. There are videos and images of the game in this same store.
Breja: Look, I love point & click adventure games, but I can't stand this indie obsession with pixelation and making a game as hard to watch as possible. Playing an entire game like this, all pixels and shades of brown would be quite literally painful to me. It's a complaint as legitimate as your praise. If my post is "whining" we can just as well write off any positive one as "sycophantic slobbering" or something like that. Yet somehow, despite being the bad guy her apparently according to everyones narrative, I'm not the one insulting you.
So, how about just moving on, like most of us do with games we don't like?
Not every game is meant for us, but there might be other people who might like them. So let them enjoy the games.
But I don't think your comments are about the games, I think the comments are about yourself and for your own benefit.
I can only see two reasons why you -and several other people- keep going on and on about disliking the artstyle in these kind of theads.
The first one is trying to convince GOG we customers don't want pixel art games in the store. As I love good pixel art games, that's obviously extremely annoying to me, and I find it very selfish of you, as you can easily just not buy the game and shut up about it.
The second one is trying to make the developers abandon pixel art to fit your likings more. Maybe in their following projects. Or perhaps some other developer might be reading your wise words of knowledge and takes note. Well, I don't like it either, because, well, I DO like pixel art.
Both reasons look extremely self-centered to me.
And yes, to me there's a huge difference between positive and negative comments. Which is why I sometimes put comments about how I like a release and yet NEVER comment on games I don't want, care or need. I can always NOT buy a game I don't want, it's pretty easy to do, you know. I can't buy games not released, though.
So yes, I really find your serial shit posting on release threads egotistical and bad manners. Even though sometimes you try to make it look as a joke of sorts.
