Nope. Galaxy wants me to reinstall the entire game to play it and won't even give me the option of using the files I downloaded from your site already.

It takes more than 2 days to download that game, and I've done it twice already.

Not happening.

When was the Raven ever promised? Link?
30 hours of content? Man, am I glad I bought a season pass, if this has 30 hours, can´t wait for the second expansion, due in 2019, to come out!

Stunning, keep up the good work, guys!

ChrisGamer300: Give us Timberwolf, Annihilator, Axeman, Thug and Assassin while you're at it HBS or in the expansions to come.
avatar
viperfdl: The Timberwolf is a Clan Mech.
Indeed, and the Axman is a 3040s or later development so it's not appropriate either. What I'd really like to have is:

*ComStar as an active faction, just like the pirates have become with this update. And maybe with the special quirk that if you complete a ComStar contract you can have the offer of a random LostTech item instead of salvage and/or credits.

*Now that the legal wrangling is officially over, BRING BACK THE UNSEENS! Archer, Marauder, Warhammer and Phoenix Hawk are some of the most iconic and most loved 'mechs in the game. Furthermore, I am getting a bit tired of seeing swarms and swarms of locusts: where are the stingers and wasps?

*Expanding on my previous point: I believe that the game really needs at least two different models for each weight level. Otherwise, I will know almost all that I need to do as soon as I see the weight of my enemy on the scanner. Flashpoint is a step in the right direction, as it introduces a second 90-ton 'Mech (the Cyclops) to complement the Highlander, but currently we have only 1 'mech for:
20T
25T
40T
95T
For the 95 ton class, I guess we are stuck with the Banshee as, if memory serves, you need to wait until the late 3050s before other 95T 'models are introduced. However, already the original Technical Readout 3025 mentions Lyran experiments to design a slower, but much more powerful, Banshee. That could be your second model, as changing the engine means that the speed and weapon loadout of the 'mech (and therefore its combat role) are completely different. Furthermore, there are plenty of 'mechs in the 20-to-40-ton range to pick and choose from: Thorn, Mongoose, Clint, Hermes II and Sentinel are the first that come to mind, and they are not even Unseen mechs.

*I'd really like to see a little bit more of national "styles" when facing Inner Sphere opponents. If I go against a Kurita unit, I'd expect to see mostly Dragons, Panthers and Jenners, while a Lyran one would always field at least either one Zeus, Griffin or Atlas, which would become Vindicators, Marauders and Cataphracts in the case of Liao.

*Finlly, I know this is a game of 'mech combat, but I would be happy to see a few more combat vehicle models around. Furthermore, except when facing SLDF drones or escorting convoys, and barring the occasional Striker, we only ever see tracked vehicles. Where are the quick, even if fragile, hovertanks? You can go from the 5-ton Savannah Master to the 50-ton Drillson. You could add the 40-ton Hetzer armored car, ligthly armored and slow, but sporting a huge AC/20 that can give even assault 'mechs pause. And while we are talking about assault machines, why remain confined within the limits of the 80 tons of Demolishers and Schreks? I'd like to see the 95-ton Ontos or even the ponderous Behemoth, with its two AC/10s, 4LRM-5s, 2SRM-6s, 4SRM-2s and 4 machine guns. That beast is even slower than an UrbanMech, but if it manages to catch you unawares, it can savage any 'mech with a single salvo.

It says it installed successfully, but it's not showing up when I load the game.

Any ideas?

elcook: We're aware of the issue and working with the developer on fixing it. For now, I'd suggest launching the game via GOG Galaxy which should activate the DLC content.
Man, you are just asking for it lol.
Ok, I will not say anything about Galaxy and the push for the client. :p since I haven't bought the DLC yet. I hope you guys fix it soon cause I am definitely not using any client.

That suggestion actually didn't work in the first place, and when they did start to fix the issue the expansion download showed up on gog.com library before it was available on GoG Galaxy.
avatar
trusteft: So is this unlockable from the very beginning, is it locked till you finish the base game, or what exactly?
if you are playing the campaign, the Flashpoints become available after you complete the campaign
If you are playing in Career mode, Flashpoints become available after 2-3 weeks of in game time. Though chances are you will not be ready to take them on by that time, far from it.

But for all the other features of the Flashpoint Expansion, like the 3 new mechs and the new map, they can show up at any time during career mode or during the campaign.

They haven't fixed the issue for the manual installer yet... (Flashpoint is listed as Available, not installed, and the new mechs don't show up)

They also don't have the legal excuse anymore so i would like to finally see mechs like the Warhammer, Marauder, Archer, etc in the game. A BT game without them is like fried chips without salt, imo.

Anyway, in my case, given how HBS (/Paradox) treated backers (/GOG users, specially non Galaxy ones) no buy from me also:

-I still need to be constantly logged in a Pdox account to see my extra skins (and nope, not going to be permanetly logged anywhere on internet and i asked for the game on GOG to avoid DRM-like limitations , precisely, and to be able to play offline with ALL my content, don't sell me the "it's for your own security" things please, i'm old enough to be treated as a fool)

-I do not own the pre-order DLC that was given to buyers non-backers to add skins (phoenix hawk whatever was called)

-I expected to have the deluxe edition at least and have standard edition (but only since sometime after release, previously i had a strange store-hidden alternative version and store don't even recognized me as owner of the game)

-I could not even write a review or rate the game until i had the "normal" store version and store recognized i own the game and the review i written was also deleted/lost somehow after the widely discussed re-design of the store (my rating also disappeared, all of this while i still have an unsolved and opened support ticket precisely about my alternative version of the game and about review and rating problems)

-Unrelated, but i have just discovered that my 1.0.2 installers of the game are corrupted (i always hated not having a proper verification tool for downloads without having to uninstall and install all again just to check it) and i only have patches since then, so gg i have to install the old 1.01 version (without upgrading patches) or directly the last 1.3.0 (which i don't want because the nature of the changes made) BTW, this can be "solved" by support or that was a thing from the past? (i mean, is there any way i can recover my installers talking to them?)

A bit burned about all, it's a shame because i love the franchise and that's why i backed the project, but was not expecting the alliance with Pdox, the changes at the very last hour of how we could access all our content (changes after the Pdox alliance to go through their auth servers instead of having local unblocked content), the versions they gave to GOG users, the posterior sell of the studio to Paradox...too much for me :(

Now, i would wait until "Christian hell is frozen" (Theodore Kurita) if that's what it's needed to see Mechwarrior and Mechcommander series here on GOG finally xD

ReaverKane: They made the carreer mode 1200 hours so it would end before the 3028 war.
That's more or less when the Raven started showing up, so it's too early in the game for it to show up. Besides Ravens suck, basically a Locust with a ECM.
The Raven was listed as a mech we would get, also with the sensor upgrade for the game. In Mech Commander 1 and 2 I always tried to have at least one raven in a lance. The design is iconic. It has its use cases.

According to GOG, I need to update to the 1.3 version of the game.

Downloaded the patch, but it won't install. Gave me a whole log file full of errors. There's 6 hours wasted.

I really don't want to download the entire game again. Took almost 2 days the last time.

After this, I won't be buying any more DLCs for this, or any other HBS game.

Sorry for all the trouble. We should have a fix for the DLC from the developer today. Will update here when it goes live.
