II'm all for an adult tag, there is a lot of games that I wouldn't waste my time on if they were tagged right even if the name was interesting. Not the Adult ones, those interest me :P

It actually is a game, and RPG at that. Where exactly you're getting the idea that this is a Visual Novel I have no idea. There was a Visual Novel adult game that release yesterday, so maybe you're in the wrong thread?

And again, just because you don't like something that doesn't mean it's any less of a game. It still deserves the same treatment as any other game release thread does. GOG owes that much to their business partners who're releasing software on its store.

As for what specific mature themes and imagery is in the game, well, you'll should already have an idea of what it is. It's going to be explicit sexual imagery.

The thing is that there's literally no adult content being depicted on GOG's store "shelves". So the whole idea that these games should be "sectioned off" is absurd. There's no nudity, nothing depicted on the store pages or even the Unrated DLC pages. You guys are just being overdramatic and acting outraged about games (yes, games) being on GOG you don't like.

It's actually a really nice for an RPG Maker game. I've been playing it for the past few hours and I'm having a good time with it. Definitely not something that is low budget or low effort.

Then you'd be guessing wrong. Surprise, surprise. This isn't a GoR or Game over R*** game, and to be honest I'm not really a fan of those games anyways. So I wouldn't be playing it if it was.

It'd actually be categorized as a Sweet Love / Harem game. There's actually relationship points you need to earn with the characters. It's sort of like Trails of Cold Steel, if you've ever played that. You have so many points that you can use during free sections and you spend those with the girls you want and it's kind of a relationship build up. I know there'll be harem endings that the like also.

It's actually the kind of game that is good for people who don't want something real hardcore. There's a good JRPG there for people and also the relationship building aspect.

I can't say with 100% certainly that there wouldn't be a non-consensual scene somewhere, but the game is absolutely NOT created with that in mind.

I should correct myself, the sprites and evironments are really nice looking actually, but the drawing style of the pictures is not my cup of tea.

How am I supposed to get what the "Adult Content" is if neither Dev/Publisher/Shop speaks of it? Is it typical, I'm puzzled?

On the topic of my expectations:
- Should be Devs' job to describe in a few sentences what the mature content is; (as you did in the same post)
- Then GoG gives a pointer(url) or just copy/pastes.
Would spare their customers time and efforts and would likely increase sales: open information -> better judgement -> more sales.
For me "Adult Content", as they put is, is like a wall hiding stuff I might be (much) fine with... Lots of efforts to get behind it so I'd likely not bother to dig on my own or buy the game as it is to figure if it matches my taste or not.

Okay, so I understand the patching process might be confusing to some people.

Here's the deal, the GOG version comes censored initially for a couple reasons. One, because there might be people who for whatever reason don't want the adult content in their game, and two, because if the game was uncensored "out of the box" then the game would be blocked here in certain regions.

The uncensored, or "Unrated" DLC in this case, is hosted by GOG and for sale as a FREE DLC. IF that DLC is blocked because you're in Germany or somewhere else, then you can still buy the game and download the Unrated Patch from Kagura Games own website.

As for what is "Adult Content", well, the easiest and simplest way to put it would be "explicit sexual content". I know that might not tell the whole story or get as descriptive as one might like, but that's how it is on certain stores.

You'll notice that even on Kagura Games own store there's really no nudity or anything show. There's no explicit image samples available to view. This by design.

GOG.com operates in the same way. There's no graphio imagery or even anything too sexual given in text descriptions. Which is why arguments to "section off" these games from other GOG releases, or comparing to an adult section in a video store is poor at best.

If you want adult samples or more thorough "Tags" or "Fetishes" listed for this game then you should view the games store page on DLsite.com or FAKKU.net. I don't want to link directly to these store pages, because it will take you to explicit content.

I know it's not ideal for some, and you'd like more detailed and graphic explanations on what "Adult Content" means here, but there's options available for you to do that. You can always ask in a game release thread like what type of content is this game focused around, and I'm sure there's people who will tell you.

I start reading the messages posted and i am starting to think that I've lived for way too long. What has happened to this world where men don't like large breasts anymore? Are you even men?

This feels like absurd stereotyping and just a bit sexist.

For one, maybe some of us just aren't into breasts that are literally bigger than the character's head.
For two, there's the classical problem of managing to look so well prepared in a situation described as post-apocalyptic. Cybernetics or no, I'd like to know how a bright pink jacket and fucking hotpants doesn't paint an immediate target on the party.

Also, I'd like to give a special Anti-Shoutout to Lee Al Lin for the Serial Numbers Filed Off doorprize of Worst Chun-Li Cosplay.

To be fair though, for better or for worse (I'll admit I don't have a well developed opinion about that, I tend to think that in a purely fictitious context, it is rather harmless), I know of at least one 'game' (VN really with limited choices that do impact the story) that straddles that line and have a foot in both worlds.

Song of Saya has segments that felts downright pornographic, but it is still a legitimate visual novel with an engaging story.

Thinking about it some more, while ultimately it wasn't for me, I'd say Huniepop also has a legitimate claim at being a game (the reflex puzzles, the memory games while 'dating', the pleasant soundtrack and overall aesthetics, it has things going for it), yet part of it felt pornographic (although admittedly that part is limited to pictures).

I could see other games following suit.

Sure, I don't think it is wrong per say, it is not my taste for the reasons outlined above.
