B1tF1ghter: Nice try.
But since I always want to act professionaly I'm going to spell it out for you.
There are instances when GOG DOES get GOG exclusive stuff - that's mostly cosmetic dlc (example here
https://www.gog.com/game/sniper_ghost_warrior_contracts_galaxy_glow) and although GOG exclusive pricing deals are very rare they are still kind of a thing (again, EXTREMELY RARE).
Since wording is made in such a way ("pre-order now for the price of the standard edition") it potentially COULD confuse some into thinking that it's some amazing GOG exlusive deal. And if those people regardless of their number would not check steam page nor be told they would just not know. I made that post to be informative for those (and to save some time from checking steam page for verification for others).
I'm not willing to repeat this explanation. So stop baiting.
OK, thank you for your time put into this post and for trying to explain your point of view.
Yet I cannot agree with it. Like MarkoH01 pointed out, nothing in GOG's news implies that it's GOG-specific deal. Is it an exclusive deal though? Of course, there are certain benefits of pre-ordering that won't be avaiiable after game's release.
You seem to be angry that GOG somehow mislead you and you thought that pre-ordering on GOG would be more beneficial than pre-ordering on Steam. In fact you get the very same pre-order offer on both sites for the very same price (except here it's DRM-free, obviously...). Hell, I even paid 0.10 PLN less by pre-ordering on GOG than I would on Steam! Not that it was any incentive for me at all, ofc ;-)
Summing up, no one mislead you, the offer on both sites is exclusive as a pre-order, it's equally beneficial and it's up to you whether you choose to have a DRM-free copy in your GOG's library or not.
