I think he means this (not to be confused with Panzer General 3D Assault).
There is also still the first Panzer General and Allied General missing here.

Nor to be confused with the artillery game.

Of course, as usual, there are duplicate-wishes :(
Well, SNEG since time ago are the righholders of basically the whole old SSI/Mindscape catalogue. some of the PG cousins like Pacific General/Fantasy General/Star General are in their hands and already published in GOG

The matter is that Panzer General II or PG 3D are still labeled as SSI/Ubisoft, so probably the franchise was not into the package of Titles and the rights are still under Ubisoft.

I remember that PG 3D was updated time ago, along with Pacific General, with a wrapper to run on modern configurations, It was the same day. It made me have hopes about an eventually presence of PG Scorched Earth, but it was a long time ago.

But why not, there are always hopes, From the hands of Ubisoft or SNEG

Message from an AW site:

Panzer General III: Scorched Earth
No file available as requested by the IP owner.
Stay tuned for a Steam or GOG release - can take years though.

They don't mention who the IP holder is, but usually, if a game gets taken down on request of the IP holder, it's done when a commercial re-release is planned in the (near) future.

So, OP has reason to be hopeful.

PS: the same goes for "Panzer General" and "Allied General", btw.

Yes, that AW site can be a focus of information and indeed every SSI Title was requested by the IP owner. Some of them for years, others were published here yet.

A similar situation could be Steel Panthers. As far as I know in hands of Matrix/Slitherine and also requested by the owners, or War in Russia/War in the Pacific/Second Front, all of them SSI originals but related to Slitherine
So Who requested It is where the question resides, Slitherine or SNEG?

Matrix Slitherine also purchased the IP of Warlords Franchise, but actually is being published by SNEG, at least in Steam.

Indeed, It could be hopes. Nothing is impossible

In summary what I am wondering is if Franchises like Panzer General, Silent Hunter, or Steel Panthers as some examples, formerly SSI/Mindscape titles, are part of the SNEG package of IP titles
