Outpost. Version 1.5 and/or Version 2.0. The wall of text below is not necessary to read to respond to this thread as all I'm hoping for is getting folks to share their thoughts on this game... maybe talk about what they liked about it and what they didn't like... and perhaps even give me a few hints on gameplay (LOL). Thank you VERY MUCH to anyone that takes the time to respond. I appreciate ALL responses.
I had a flood last summer and lost nearly everything I owned. One of the things that did survive though was most of my physical game collection as they were high enough to have stayed dry. I had several bookshelves and cabinets full of games lol.
Over the past week or so I've just gotten around to going through them to figure out what to do with them and of course.... I'm hitting some serious nostalgia buttons and as well as some "On My God I forgot I had that!" too.
An example of the latter is I have two Outpost games (boxes, with CD's and manuals). One is labelled Version 1.5 and the other is labelled 2.0.
I remember dabbling with the former one a bit (I know I didn't play 2.0 at all because the box is still sealed lol) but don't really recall a lot about it. And this same thing repeated itself for some other games. So... I went to this "pirate" website and downloaded some of the games that I owned but couldn't get to play myself and that aren't available on GOG or Steam and sure enough... I now have a working version of Outpost 1.5 on my Windows 10 computer (same thing happened with Rise and Rule of Ancient Empires which I did play A LOT back in the day as I really enjoyed that game and my box complete with manual was still in good shape.)
But I'm really at a loss with this game and am hoping to read some experiences of some goggers to gauge what they thought of the game and perhaps how I should approach the game.
So come on... let's talk about OUTPOST. Okay???
