Sorry to derail the thread, but I feel inclined to address these things and the thread is basically done with the OPs topics. Obviously neither of you saw my firsts posts on this forum and the ensuing shit between TinyE and I. Lucky you! I had never even been a lurker, I simply was bored one day and really wanting to talk about Arcanum with someone/anyone and so made my way to the forums in which I viewed some general topics of discussion because I figured I'd poke around. I entered some random thread that looked appealing and what do I see? TinyE making some (what I saw to be) ignorant and racist comment. He's frequently the first/one of the first to say something in a thread and it is frequently stupid/asinine/trollish/taunting, and as a newcomer, that was my first impression of these forums. How do you honestly feel about him being people's first impressions on these forums? I think it's rather awful. And if anyone is remotely like me (and I'm quite sure there are), he drove them away from the forums, didn't make them feel as welcomed as (I think) the general community would like, or at least made them question their involvement and likely reduced any back-and-forth they might have participated in with others. I can't be the only one this happened to, and in fact, I know I am not.

To elaborate more on the furthering issues of it all. Just as I do with anyone who says something I take issue with, I tried to address it with him, I even took it to PM quite readily, which he blocked and took it all back to the thread where it originated, lying about what I said in PM, trying to make me look like the asshole and generally derailing it and being quite a huge ass to me telling me to "back off, he's a regular and EVERYONE knows he means no harm and if I were a regular I'd know too and shit on me for not knowing and for not being a regular and how stupid I am for having my views etc., etc., etc.,"- pretty much all the things someone I consider to be an asshole would say to a stranger who doesn't know them who confronted them about something they said, pretty much excusing their own behavior by saying "other people think I'm okay, you suck for not also thinking I am" rather than talking like a mature adult about our differing views.

I guarantee you, there are people who hold my view of him, I understand you are okay with his behavior, please understand that I am not. This doesn't make me "thin-skinned", and I'm not easily offended AT ALL, what is most offensive is how, when I found something offensive and tried to address it in a calm and thought-filled way simply trying to work out our differences, we weren't able to make one step in any positive direction because he was a defensive asshole and it quickly became a shit-flinging fest which I quickly abandoned.

It was some time before I came back to the forums and I had to give myself a pep-talk of "don't engage with the stupids." I understand not all feel that way. Understand others do feel that way and reflect upon it, please.

I've been awake for nights on end barely getting any sleep because I'm nursing a sick ferret and so my thoughts aren't well organized and I didn't proof-read and I have to go tend him now so I am going to just leave it like this and you can all have it as is, forgive if I'm not as tactful or whatever as I could have been. I'm really done talking about all this crap and don't care to have back and forth about it, if there is something pressing you feel the need to address with me, send me a message and we'll work on it there.
