EverNightX: I don't remember Larian ever doing DLC. They've done their enhanced editions for divinity but never really DLC.
There was a DLC for Ego Draconis.

OK. My experience w/ Larian begins with DOS1

EverNightX: I download new patches for WOTR all the time. I think you can argue that game is not done developing either. But it's feature complete at this point nothing major will change and the same is true for BG3. The game is done. Only fixes and a little polish ahead of its August release.
The difference is that BG3 -- regardless of how "done" and feature-complete it might be -- has roughly two-thirds of its base-game content that won't be released in any form to the public for most of five more months. That makes it impossible to make a fair comparison between the two titles, even if you ignore all the post-release DLC for Wrath. I think that's what Time4Tea was getting at.

Sure. But what does that change? The things it's better at it will still be better at. And the things it's not as good at it will still not be as good at. The only difference is you'll know more of the story.

I haven't played BG3 yet, waiting for the full game, but I will say I wouldn't really compare them because WotR is absolutely a real-time game. I know it has a turn-based option, but they said themselves it was designed for real-time and they included the turn-based mod as a gesture. So... they're games with very different design philosophies.

That said I do look forward to comparing their other aspects.
My laptop doesn't meet the system requirements that have been posted for Baldur's Gate 3, so it's a hard no. If this isn't your situation, why not get both games?
