The best bird sidekick in a game is Crow from "The Longest Journey". Not a parrot, but the best bird sidekick in a game. Best bird, heck even best sidekick in a game. <3

Dwarf Fortress has the incredibly annoying [url=http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Kea]kea[/url], which are capable of stealing things, including heavy objects like anvils.

Oh yeah, they can be a plague when they attack your trade depot just after you bought some essential and expensive stuff, like anvils. I sent all my crossbowmen on full alert when I saw one of those critters on the map. Those and the monkeys were the bane of tropical maps ^^

In Ultima 7, if you talk to a parrot, he will say that he knows the location of a secret treasure. If you then hit it with a gavel (small wooden hammer), it will say "I will tell!" - and reveal the coordinates of a treasure cave.

In Serpent Isle, if you do the same thing, the parrot just asks: "Did you really think, it would work this time too, Avatar?"

You also have a parrot sidekick in the Pirates of the Sword Coast premium module in Neverwinter Nights 1.
