Wickez: Seems GOG users aren't well aware the one of the best 2010s RPGs got an unofficial update. Just a heads up, hehe.
Head to
ModDb to download it but make sure you've read the description too, thanks.
g2222: Thank you for the notice. :-)
BreOl72: Keyword here is "unofficial".
g2222: I downloaded the setup.exe and extracted it with 7-zip to check its contents.
It seems to be a *data* patch only, because it contains a 285MB "resources.assets" file.
As long as there is no binary patching of the game's executable, it should be okay to try.
(Of course I cannot tell what the setup.exe itself does, which is why I used 7-zip to extract it.)
edit:
This is what the description on ModDB says:
A patch oriented on fixing the long standing bugs of the missing Piece of Coral at Block 6 and the issue with the inability to use the King's Key at Block 10. Also fixes some other minor issues, like botched equipment stats (luckily, only some were botched) and wrong descriptions, especially for skills (they now should be more comprehensible and streamlined).
Works with Steam/GOG/Humble Bundle/retail (basically all of them) releases of Paper Sorcerer patched to the latest official v2.5.
To install, launch the installer and point to Paper Sorcerer's installation directory, and then launch the game as usual.
Starting a new game is obligatory!
g2222: Nice! I thought anti-7zip protection in the NSIS script is enabled by default, though?
Also, if you people could "watch" the mod on ModDb, it would be mega awesome. Thanks, I knew you would do it for me.
