As a meta comment, it’s kind of a weird effect of so many players (even if some are less active) that I feel like I don’t have any original thoughts. Sometimes I think something, to notice someone else posted on it. Other times I’m reading and just thinking, why didn’t I notice that? Brain says it’s not true, I know it's not true, but still… need to be careful not to tunnel on pet theories though…

I wholeheartedly assure you there are no personal attacks at all, just observations. Yogs does not want to vote any of his friends from MU on day 1 (his words) and the MU players seems focused on yogs more so than anyone else. Should I say that I will not vote any GOG players today because they are my friends and only look at MU players? Pretty sure that would get me lynched, but I honestly have no desire to lynch yogs today. He is one of the players that stays active the whole game and helps keep it going when it hits the inevitable wall of stagnancy. So on Day 1 with zero info to go on I prefer to peruse what I find to be scummy play, lurking or posting just to post without really contributing anything.

That's fair, but I would like to see the cases on the MU individuals then, because you have to admit it would be a freaking longshot if they all rolled scum together with Yogs. I think its natural they will tend to interact with folks they already know. I know I needed to push myself out of focusing only on players I played with myself.

Seriously, just show up and chat. I'm not saying it always works well for me, and not that I don't have any plan in mind, but it's secondary to just, you know, talking and seeing what comes of that. The plan I had at launch is pretty much gone, though more through others' moves than my own, but that's ok. It's just a game - not like "Thermonuclear War" or something.

If everyone waited for the perfect post to execute the perfect plan...

Ironically after just writing that response to Quad I'm not 100% sure I should say, since I haven't thought about how quite that much clarity fits into the tattered remains of my own overall D1 plan. But eh, screw it.

I feel very strongly about it. I agree, and even think I said, my initial reaction was probably seeing it with too dark a lens since it required several assumptions that I don't know to be true.

But going back and breaking down the sequence of posts with more care, and then moreso, his absolute lack of follow-up + evasion REEEEALLY is bothering me.

Whatever he's concealing may be irrelevant, but I don't get why he's trying to just skate on this if town. Take a lump or two, explain it and move on. In the process you might come out clearer.

Agree, though the issue with CSP is that he tends to start strong and then peter out as the days trod along. Loved his play in my game, for example, but then Wyrm played to his paranoia and cruelly and humorously lynched him D1.

Relevant here mostly as a comparison to, say, players who are more consistent over the course of a game but don't quite hit the same highs.

Oh good, the only non-flavor part of this post was addressed to me, so I don't feel bad responding.

We might be rolling to an Ix lynch, assuming we get rolling in any direction at all. When I was counting votes, I went in with the direction that Trent had more votes than he actually did, and I was prepared to comment on it. I was surprised to find out he only had two (I thought he had at least 3). However, I wouldn't say that Trent caused the distraction; more like he was pulled forward AS a distraction.

I don't think it was "I don't want to lynch my MU buddies", more like "I don't want to lynch the new comers Day 1". Something like our semi-traditional "Don't kill the new guy immediately, unless he does something really egregious".
