Brasas: Cast of characters:
v3.0 the jokes are back... well kinda...

Laura (docbear) is a veterinarian
Adam (Agent) is a carpenter, here since the founding, bearded
Bill (Quadr) is a city guy finding his way
Craig (Wyrm) grew up here, is a mason and knows the trails
Fergie (Nacho) is a farmer, potatoes and corn apparently?
Nathan (Dess) is the town smith and a founder
Eric (Yog) is the bootlegger's brother and the prodigal son of sorts, keeps dogs... eats too many plums?
Emily (Trent) is Yog's mum. Too old to move away. Getting in shape from walking daily. Really likes the letter E? (Eric, Earl and Ed)
Marie (Bler) is something herbs, strawberry and a misterious Howard and pigs. Also bi...
Dan (Brasas) the melancholy horse keeper.
PS: Romantic. Sensitive. Paranoid. Rides hard. Searching for a soulmate.
Sean'O (Lift) is the cattle farmer
Claire (Cristi) mainly cooks
Sarah (Tammy) is an adopted villager, used to be homeless, does not remember why, outdoorsy
Justin (Stanari) the butcher, cures meats.
Jay (SirFox) woodcutter, currently has an injured hand

I think only missing two:
Emma (Ix)
Jim (Sushi)

I also collected some notes on the setting. I am convinced the lynch mechanics are as follows. If we reach a player maj (no lynch maj doesn't trigger diddly squat), we shift phase. We then have those phases about attack / defense and after some other trigger I have no clue we get the last phase for votes only almost. I assume at any point we can change the votes so that no lynch, or another lynch than the previous maj actually takes place. At which point, one of two things happen - either we fast forward via flavor to the next full moon and get the scum / PR game "night". OR we keep posting and said game night is on a strict timer. In which case we maybe could get more than one lynch during a game day.

It's kind of unusual, but it makes sense of all the pieces of flavor I think. Let's see I guess...

Overall I'm more and more listening to my brain on lynching for flips. But wondering if there's a mislynch that maybe helps town more than others. Because chance of mislynch is just huge right now... and that might be a way to cut that gordian knot of indecision. I mean, I am dismayed that the leading wagons are the one I started on Bill, the one Yogs started (by penalty mind you) on Justin, and the one Stanari's got on Eric. Not that they're much of wagons, more like a horse pulling a single cart to Nashua each...

I'll keep making notes to the Word doc now. Waiting for most of you across the pond to wake up I guess.
As far as 'jobs' go me and Jay are wood cutting brothers. Not sure if he'd have a similar backstory, but I suspect he would.

Ixamyakxim: *sigh* I don't like my initial impressions. I'm going to suggest something I didn't think I'd ever suggest.

I know you all, I trust you. We can't avoid the fact that something has *changed* here to cause this. Events are unfolding which we don't yet understand, I'm not sure I see the value in carrying out the action some of you are proposing.

Mr. Barton has already pointed out our lack of incentive to follow one gruesome act with another. I think it best to observe and record for the moment. And gird ourselves against those wolves.

Vote No Lynch
*in character*
Emma! You'r back! Where have you been? ... No, really, where the hell have you been and what have you been doing? You were missing for two weeks - after a gruesome murder no less - and now you walz in as if nothing had happened? Explain yourself and also why we shouldn't assume that you had something to do with Julie's death? Where were you, when she died? Where were you when the village bell rang in alarm? Where did you hide these two weeks and why? I won't trust you until you answer these questions satisfactorily!

-----------------------------------------------------------
*out of character*

So, you reappear, state that you don't even want to read (OK, it's a lot to read) and then you come to the worst possible conclusion for town and vote no-lynch. On Day 1. While talking about no-lynch makes sense in character in this game, actually voting no-lynch on Day 1 is and always will be anti-town. Sure, RL might have kept you away several days. That happens. But you seem very un-invested. You hide behind the amount of stuff that has been written, skim a bit, pick up on a (flavour) no-lynch discussion and latch on to it, turning it into a (non-flavour) actual no-lynch vote. Which will benefit scum. That is, all in all, quite scummy. Scummy, or at least anti-town, enough that I feel confident re-placing my vote on you. It has a higher likelihood of hitting scum than a vote on any other player right now.

VOTE Emma Hess

Something other: Bookwyrm, I still don't like your early claim. But you are right in two respects: scum won't be able to ignore you now. And at some point there will have to be a policy lynch on one of the masons anyhow, as soon as all of them came out. To ensure that they aren't a scum-faction pretending to be masons. But, in case you are really a mason, it would be a waste for town to lynch you now, before you had chance to connect with the others. But equally it would be a waste for town if you are killed tonight. Which is why it was very stupid to throw away your power role by claiming on Day 1. You should have waited one more Day, but what is done is done.
And if you are scum, we can still lynch you tomorrow and thereby implicate any other 'masons' that came out to confirm you. Or if no other mason should come out, thereby making you a liar. So for now, I will not push the issue further and just hope that you are who you say you are and that, due to some miracle, you survive the night.

Lifthrasil: Where did you hide these two weeks and why?
*curious face* What did she eat?..

...

I finished my journey, caught up, phone posting as promised.

Bler is hard to follow sometimes, but if anything, at least leans town. @Bler: as cristigale, I also did not understand your timestaps with "same" and "different". What are they supposed to be?

@lxamyakxim: welcome aboard. I was starting to think you had some serious real life issues, maybe even being in no shape at all to get back at us. So, it is nice to see you are ok. No-lynch as a proposal seems a fine idea, but other than that I am missing more reflecting on situation, your character, players. Could you provide some thoughts?

@Stanari: I will keep my vote on you for a while longer. I did follow MU games, so I do not know any of you, fine new people. Meaning, I am not taking your word for granted. Can DragonSushi, Tammy, SirCrimsonFox and Nachomamma or even local goglodytes confirm to any extent that you play like this as town? Now you just seem to holding things back. Question becomes who and when will you share them with?

@cristigale: I am village smith/blacksmith. By my name and by profesion. Isn't that just wonderful?

Brasas says we need silver, so if anyone thinks they have some, we can make this flavor story role further ourselves, helping drealmer in the process. We had a girl killed. What can we draw from that? She was alone; early morning; away from the village. So, most likely stalked by someone. She was picking something for breakfast. How did attacker(s) know she would be there, then? Either it was a chance encounter or someone from the village knew and waited. Those are two best guesses. Taking worse scenario, we must be cautious within our own walls. Don't walk anywhere alone, don't sleep at night alone. We should pair up. And taking in account attack from outside, we should build/reinforce our walls. Or gates. Not sure if we have those. Not even sure how big the village is. It does hold 56 people somehow, right? With space for crops and animals. Walls might prove useless and we incapable of building them. Also, this is a mafia game, not castle defender. So... Should I make weapons for people? Up till now we had farming tools and hunting equipement. Any thoughts? Lets follow Brasas' idea on silver?

Role play is fun, lets do it.
Small EBWOP: "...did not follow MU games...". Though I might get at them for some evenings when I feel like it.
Every time I see someone vote Ix somehow I townread them more?

Super-fast fly through. Kiddo time then on the road.

This kept me awake which is annoying, but yeah, I think i realized something in the dark. He is hiding something, but I think I'm seeing more clearly what he actually did, vs. what I went into my post asssuming he'd done.

Still, I'd like to see him clarify.

Should have some time this afternoon to actually do something before my evening event, assuming traffic on the interstate isn't brutal.

bler144: Interesting. Did one of your teammates mention Krypsyn in your QT thread?
I think it was one of the things I caught while doing meta research for champs, but HSL in the signup thread reminded me.

There is a specific eventuality where Ix is scum, plus a handful of ones linked more vaguely to personality. Unsure if Ix is the type of player to go for that play, though?

avatar
Brasas: Maybe. Too early to tell. I think I agree with Bler there is something under the surface, just that something could be a genuine derp - embarassed was not paying attention and arrived late. I also think wolves might be emboldened by the wagons lack thereof and make risky plays? And Ix struck me as the kind of cool headed player (a la Cristi and Trent - but posting much less) that would be able to pull something like that off.
I don't think it's coolheadedness - well, maybe it is - so much as just daring. Is Ix daring scum?

DragonSushi: As far as 'jobs' go me and Jay are wood cutting brothers. Not sure if he'd have a similar backstory, but I suspect he would.
Are you caught up? Do you have any thoughts?

Wrong =/= scummy. Antitown =/= scummy. I see basically no worlds where scum Ix does that with the expectation that they will successfully push a no lynch.

The only MU game I've played was champs, so it'd be yog or one of the specs.

I will share them if I consider them relevant to a case, as one is wont to do when possessed of thoughts.
Well not much happened. I'm off to bed I guess.

Stanari: I don't think it's coolheadedness - well, maybe it is - so much as just daring. Is Ix daring scum?
When I played with him he was town. Regardless, I think I'd call him decisive instead. He's a no fuss type. Hit and run. Not like me as I tend to circle round and round, go there, come back. As is typical with different playstyles I remember suspecting him. He does pay attention. I can imagine how his style can play well as scum, as he's not really around to chit chat / justify / explain much - minimizes slips and lets town doubts stew without overt manipulation. He does answer questions, but tersely, direct, no fuss.

So I don't really know how big his balls are is my conclusion. But the others probly know him better. I'm the wrong person to ask really.

Fine. I got what I wanted.

Unvote: Stanari

SirCrimsonFox, we miss your funny remarks.
DragonSushi, would you share your opinions on flavor, players, lynch?

Dessimu: Fine. I got what I wanted.
If I may ask - and you don't have to answer if you don't want to for some reason - what did you want?

Something, anything that would show your intentions more town or scum aligned. As in, keep whatever it is you keep, but give something to work on.

Have been gone for longer than expected, will work to catch up later tonight.

As an aside, I think it would be smart if we all started signing our posts with our RP names to help people remember them better.

Checking in; prepped for a birthday party Fri night, birthday party happened Sat, busy this morning. I see I'm about 80 posts behind. Working on catching up, but may take until this evening.
(Everything in brackets in this post should be read as OOC).

Hmm. I should really have got round to this earlier. I've had some... insight, let's say. (Did Bookwyrm refer to it earlier as an "event" when we get information, or was that in reference to the entire scenario?)

It appears that after the mid-day phase, the evening will be an actual trial of sorts - once we decide who we might target, we then get a chance to actually argue and decide whether we need to actually go the whole way and... well, kill someone. (I'm assuming something along the lines of the Town of Salem trial stage, though with less furious copying and pasting of wills.)

(Not quite sure how that relates to the whole "no-lynch" being equivalent to "not voting" risks, but...) Wait, why would we want to kill anyone? (Dammit, man, you're in a Werewolf game now, it's almost a necessity for Town!) What? Werewolf... game? (Oh, for god's sake...)
