Some people really show a lack of judgement by comparing this case to curation. Whatever you may think of that, it's not the same. Personally I think it's delusional to believe that everyone has to sell whatever you want to buy, regardless of perceived quality, shared values and expectation of sales. It's like if I write a book, send it to a publisher, they refuse it, and then I yell "censorship", because they clearly did not like my stance on "...". No, GOG has the right to decide that Devotion or any other game is not a good fit for their store, it has nothing to do with censorship.
The issue here is that they actually agreed to publish it and then suddenly back-pedalled due to third party pressure. And that the supposedly offensive content isn't even in the game anymore - wasn't even meant to be in the game in the first place, it was just an overlooked placeholder. The game itself doesn't seem to be political, it's just tainted by a silly joke one of the devs made in the past, and they apologized for it, two years ago.
