Zabohad: Just off the top of the head,
Daikatana is legendary example.
vicklemos: This NMS hype deal is truly well nourished because of the internet, I say. Marks also the demise of these type of game launches and all.
But you'll never be as frustated as that 17yr old me so damn interested about a game previewed on a mag called *drum roll* ....
......
KABUKI WARRIORS! I mean:
1) Xbox: a new high-tech thingy, state of the art console. Whoa!
2) Fighting game mixed with kabuki theater? Man what could go wrong?
3) Made by respectable japanese devs who previously worked on some awesome games like Bushido Blade (Lightweight) and so many memorable ones.
And then, we got this. I remember playing this in 2001 and thinking "is this the reason we came so far?" ;P
My deepest condolences...
You just remind me of another feisty one - Rise of the Robots.
publisher - Yes, we do.
My deepest personal disappointment was probably Master of Orion 3, but that hype was - if I remember right - slightly smaller.
