Do we need to test the lemonade?

JakobFel: Another piece of added advice on top of my previous post: don't listen to negative reviews or people who try to encourage you to stay away from something. Typically, they're just bitter because something didn't meet their unrealistic expectations. Aramandur, regardless of who wins, I highly recommend playing it. It lived up to all of the hype that I had for it and it's one of my favorite games of all time!
dont listen to anybody, their experience could warn you to not make bad decisions!
always go in blindfolded always believe the hype and marketing, buy the games all of them , if somebody says you should wait ,that is just another reason to buy it instantly, fanboys are always right
and ofc we are just bitter because we expected an AAA game to have not teleporting in police, which will give up chase if you duck behind cover, expected npc-s dont disappear if you make a 360° turn, yeah these are so unrealistic expectations only 99% other games managed to do implement them

bluethief: My advice is: always be humble. Even when things go your way, stay humble. Don't let the success get into your head. Treat people with respect and if they helped get to where you are now, always be thankful and share your success with them.
Indeed. Hardships test character. Success may be an even harder test of character. So many fail spectacularly. Do not be like them. Also remember that any day life might turn the table on you. Be humble. Be grateful. Measure progress against your former self. Take care of the ones you love. Try to learn to love everyone in a way.Take care of yourself as you would take care of a dear friend: with good advice, compassionate but not complacent. All that will actually make you stronger.

When you learn about the self contradictions about one person or organization, you are starting to understand them for real.
Know yourself. Taking into account all of the above.
Do the right thing, for you, not because you expect anything in return.
If you dare, or when there is nothing left, make your own rules and follow them. Make them good rules.
Be careful when giving advice. In general, do not.
Fact of life: More often than not, no good deed will remain unpunished. That is another reason to do good things anonymously sometimes.

Enough for now, but it is still Thursday

Carradice: We all know of games that were buggy at launch, then got fixed and polished later. There are many reviews on GOG talking about that. Same will happen with Cyberpunk.
so same will happen to cyberpukk ? then he only needs to wait a little
btw why are you so sure about this?
avatar
Carradice: So true. Especially when it is about not doing something they do... If the guy or girl is really good at it, they will encourage you. If they do the opposite, it really means that they are mediocre at it and do not want others to do their “special thing” so that they can remain “special”.
this makes no sense at all

Shadowstalker16: Given this, take into account who can give you their time and who can give you more of your own time and act accordingly in life.
How did I ever forget to mention this? It's always in the back of my mind. Time is the only currency one should care about and the only one intrinsically invaluable. How you spend your own and how others spend their makes us all investors of a sort.

Crevurre: Do we need to test the lemonade?
Irrelevant, since there is no lemonade here.

Perhaps it would make more sense if you took a few shots of our lemon-free moonshine? Grab a comfortable looking log and sit with us by the fire. More drinking, less arguing, or the fates will be tempted to throw us off course...

Sure there is. Just take the red pill, Neo.

Right, as I wrote "4: Don't listen to strangers on the internet, they might surprise you."

And people who dare to be critical and objectively honest are called "haters". Just another day where everything is either black or white... or red or blue...well, again for some.

And then we have people who don't understand humour and take things far too seriously :D

“The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.”
- George Orville.
Though, in all seriousness, it's a shame that our society has become so anti-individual, regressed, fragmented and polarized. Don't spread the madness.

Parting gifts...

Try not to be a total ass.

In other words,

State buoni se potete...
tutto il resto è vanità.

Also, try to be aware of viral messages that try to manipulate you by trying to push your buttons, trying to trigger emotional responses so that you are set to act without giving it too much of a thought... That is the way propaganda works, and now it is tailored to fit you, by taking into account big data and all the bits of information that you leave about you here and there... Try to be a human with an evolved brain instead of an automaton. Good luck.
It's been interesting reading all the advise. My own was pretty flippant. But I have a lifelong aversion to people telling me what to do. And reading this thread made me think about that some.

Here's my real advice:

Don't be afraid. Try stuff. You're not too old - it's not too late. And love people the best you can. Don't give up.

WinterSnowfall: As a big fan of mountain hikes I can only second this with a heartfelt recommendation. Don't rush it, take your time and enjoy your surroundings. Earth will not always be as welcoming and beautiful as it is today (and we have our own fault in that).
This will come off as very hippie but I've always found mountain and long distance hikes in general to be great equalisers, places in which social background, wealth, age, education, and even health become almost negligible when facing the same difficulties and obstacles as everyone else. Everyone is your peer, right? It's really beautiful to meet with others on that feeling.
Also, watch out for any signs of sorcery around camp, it could ruin the whole party.

Wow, how did you come up with this reference? I had to look where this one came from because it felt too much of a magician's hat-trick. I thought I knew about obscure Italian culture but I had never heard of 'State buoni se potete'. Colour me very much surprised. Is it worth a watch? The song is quite catchy.

misteryo: In any case, my advice is to read poetry. I think it's good for you. And why do I think it's good for you? Well, because it's good for me, naturally. And if it's good for me, well, then, it stands to reason it's good for you. I mean, what are you, some kind of relativist?

Very wise words, love these ones to bits. Why? Well, because I'd have said the same, naturally.

I want to participate

I am not sure how long we have to reply, whether it is too late or not.

So instead of trying to figure out which one I want, I guess list them now and edit latter when i have more time and energy to think about.
Mostly considering Baulders Gate 3 verses Disco Elysium. Normally I would wait with BG3 till it's fully refined and all the reviews are out (and on sale) but since you're potentially offering, BG3 for now.It has potential to be a great game I think, but reviews seem all over the place.

My wisdom to share, beware of elites trying to sell you giving control over everything to them via the theft mechanisms of "capitalism". They will turn people against each other on small issues to blind people to the bigger issues.

Punington: Everyone is your peer, right? It's really beautiful to meet with others on that feeling.
Everyone always is. There are no tribes, just people tied to places and their history, desperately clinging to an identity that crumbles in time, like many cultures and empires have. We are all one, make no mistake.

Just to be safe, I am restricting demons as well :P.

myconv: I am not sure how long we have to reply, whether it is too late or not.
It is not. The fates see you clearly and will decide tomorrow.

Somewhere in the darkness, in shallow crevices between space-time, death, the great equalizer, grins. All the power and dominion of men is nothingness, a fickle thing, much like the men it seduces. To live is to realize that at some point you have to renounce all that you gain. Passing it on is an illusion, for our children are not bound to appreciate the same things we do - they have their own dreams. Constructs are not what we should leave behind for them, but a better world.
