kusumahendra: Are we doing GBA recommendation now?
Golden Sun 1 & 2 (Unbelievable RPG with overcomplicated summon+stats system where you can die after calling a summon because your hp goes down below zero due to summon lost it's stat effect for being called out. Still a great game with good story line and cheap ass obviously cheating last boss who can use his party wipe out attack 3 turns in a row)
Summon NIght 1 & 2 (You know Tales games? Like Tales of Phantasia / Symphonia? This is your fix in GBA)
Those 3 Castlevania game with Harmony of Dissonance as my own personal favorite (I know I'm weird on this one. Most people would like Aria of Sorrow most of three. But then again, my preference for Castlevania is a bit weird)
Let's not forget the Megaman Zero or Megaman Battle Network series
Or Astro Boy Omega Factor
Or Metroid Zero Mission or Metroid Fusion
Personally, I like Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, but I like my games like I like my cheese.
You need to download some modded versions of golden sun, I find them way more enjoyable than the originals for the fact that they actually explain the map and story layout, I remember getting lost at 2 and the first on the last dungeon, that game needs a fix or patched up version for those problems ASAP.
Or play the Advance Wars series of games, they are fun even on multiplayer since you only need like in the DS or GBA regardless just one console to play the game for four people since it's turned based, hell there is a page where you can play it, like pokemon showdown.
Did you mean Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones?
oh and it is Summon Night Swordcraft Story, there are 2 games I know by thoes titles, pretty fun, you can choose your ending based on your relationships with the side characters
There is Wario Land, the Yu Gi Oh games, the medabots games, Dragon Ball Buu's Fury or Legacy of Goku games or Supersonic Warriors, to even the Pokemon Mystery dungeon games!
Kirby in Dream Land or Kirby and The Magic Mirror (RIP Iwata, blessed be the first games I ever played as a kid)
Mario and Luigi: Super Star Saga
but enough about the great GBA titles! Let's now bring onto light some good games onto the board (to which I haven't read anything at all so if you read a game that was already here then now you know)
Phoenix Wrigth is considered a classic as far the library is concerned, like Inazuma Eleven, Animal Crossing and the like of Advance Wars Dark Conflict (known like that in the uk, I don't know the name of the american version, I didn't purchase that version)
Apparently there is a Narnia game that is really good, but just like Diablo 2, you need to grind a ton to get into th good stuff, The Lion, The Witch and The Warddrobe btw
Also Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
dtgreene: For the GBA:
Final Fantasy 5 Advance is probably my favorite portable RPG. It is certainly better than Final Fantasy 3 DS, which was released around the same time. Final Fantasy 6 Advance is also decent, though IMO not as good as 5. As for FF4 Advance, be aware that the 1.0 version (released in the US) is rather buggy; the 1.1 version (released in Europe) is better if you want this game. Note that FF4DS is quite different from a gameplay/balance perspective; I recommend playing a 2D version (like the GBA version) first before tackling the DS version.
You
You have good taste my friend, thank god they used the mechanics of FFV for Bravely Default, otherwise it would have turn out as just another rpg mesh of a title that would have drifted onto nothing.
Spy_Gentleman: Metroid Prime: Hunters
All Castlevania games
Contra 4
GTA Chinatown Wars
All Phoenix Wright gamers (Including Apollo Justice and Miles Edgeworth ones)
Mario & Luigi games
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Megaman ZX games and Zero Collection
Was to mention these as well while editing, seems as though I didn't need to! Take it from someone with experience with these games, or at least the ones I kept for this message, get them, you won't regret it unless you are not into some of them for being rpgs or requiring grinding.
