Final Fantasy Tactics Advance yeah! Crap, is that the same as the PS1 FF Tactics?

Hmm, GBA is not quite as awesome a selection as DS.

If you mean a remake, no. It's its own story, more classes if I remember correctly, but other than that I think the gameplay was very similar.

I checked your link. They have Devil Survivor 2, you can play that, there's only a couple of nods to the first game, so you wouldn't be missing anything.

Other than that TWEWY is a good choice. Phoenix Wright they only had the second game, and that series really needs to be played in order.

Tried to look for stuff outside the RPG genre but didn't find much. Batman Brave and the Bold and Super Scribblenauts had good prices, but the former is just a run of the mill beat 'em up and the latter you might prefer to play on PC.

Great. Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to find it.
It looks like my top favorites have already been recommended! Ghost Trick is seriously one of my favorite games of all time, it's a hidden gem and I recommend it to everyone. Also Radiant Historia was a great DS RPG.

Other games to check out:
999 (was mentioned, but I played it and if you like horror, it's great)
Kirby Superstar Ultra (if you like Kirby)
Peggle Dual Shot (though you might have the game on other consoles or PC)
Contact (kinda quirky hack and slash, but I thought it was just ok)
Monster Tale (a unique hybrid between Metroid style platformer and virtual pet game)
Zelda DS games

As for GBA, my favorites were Golden Sun and its sequel, though you said you weren't fond of that style on a small screen. But the story would be worth it imo. I liked Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga too.
For the GBA:

There are 3 Metroidvania-style Castlevanias here. Circle of the Moon is interesting because it *wasn't* directed by Iga, so there are some differences in the design as a result. (I like the extra modes, which let you replay the game, but with significantly different stats, to the point where the gameplay changes drastically.)

Final Fantasy 5 Advance is probably my favorite portable RPG. It is certainly better than Final Fantasy 3 DS, which was released around the same time. Final Fantasy 6 Advance is also decent, though IMO not as good as 5. As for FF4 Advance, be aware that the 1.0 version (released in the US) is rather buggy; the 1.1 version (released in Europe) is better if you want this game. Note that FF4DS is quite different from a gameplay/balance perspective; I recommend playing a 2D version (like the GBA version) first before tackling the DS version.

The DS game is a sequel to the GBA game.

IMHO, GBA has a better library than the DS, the only problem is buying them - they're both more expensive and far more likely to be fake (and often people aren't even aware they're selling you a fake), not to mention you can forget about complete copies.
Are we doing GBA recommendation now?

Golden Sun 1 & 2 (Unbelievable RPG with overcomplicated summon+stats system where you can die after calling a summon because your hp goes down below zero due to summon lost it's stat effect for being called out. Still a great game with good story line and cheap ass obviously cheating last boss who can use his party wipe out attack 3 turns in a row)

Summon NIght 1 & 2 (You know Tales games? Like Tales of Phantasia / Symphonia? This is your fix in GBA)

Zelda Minish Cap

Fire Emblem

Those 3 Castlevania game with Harmony of Dissonance as my own personal favorite (I know I'm weird on this one. Most people would like Aria of Sorrow most of three. But then again, my preference for Castlevania is a bit weird)
Ordered in Trauma Center and Phoenix Wright 2 (I'll start at two, I don't care)

Yes, any good Game Boy Advance games recommendations would be great.

You sick monster. 2 barely even makes sense without having played 1 first. There's a whole bunch of references and recurring characters.

Let's not forget the Megaman Zero or Megaman Battle Network series

Or Astro Boy Omega Factor

Or Metroid Zero Mission or Metroid Fusion

Personally, I like Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, but I like my games like I like my cheese.

You need to download some modded versions of golden sun, I find them way more enjoyable than the originals for the fact that they actually explain the map and story layout, I remember getting lost at 2 and the first on the last dungeon, that game needs a fix or patched up version for those problems ASAP.

Or play the Advance Wars series of games, they are fun even on multiplayer since you only need like in the DS or GBA regardless just one console to play the game for four people since it's turned based, hell there is a page where you can play it, like pokemon showdown.

Did you mean Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones?

oh and it is Summon Night Swordcraft Story, there are 2 games I know by thoes titles, pretty fun, you can choose your ending based on your relationships with the side characters

There is Wario Land, the Yu Gi Oh games, the medabots games, Dragon Ball Buu's Fury or Legacy of Goku games or Supersonic Warriors, to even the Pokemon Mystery dungeon games!

Kirby in Dream Land or Kirby and The Magic Mirror (RIP Iwata, blessed be the first games I ever played as a kid)

Mario and Luigi: Super Star Saga

but enough about the great GBA titles! Let's now bring onto light some good games onto the board (to which I haven't read anything at all so if you read a game that was already here then now you know)

Phoenix Wrigth is considered a classic as far the library is concerned, like Inazuma Eleven, Animal Crossing and the like of Advance Wars Dark Conflict (known like that in the uk, I don't know the name of the american version, I didn't purchase that version)

Apparently there is a Narnia game that is really good, but just like Diablo 2, you need to grind a ton to get into th good stuff, The Lion, The Witch and The Warddrobe btw

Also Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time

You

You have good taste my friend, thank god they used the mechanics of FFV for Bravely Default, otherwise it would have turn out as just another rpg mesh of a title that would have drifted onto nothing.

Spy_Gentleman: Metroid Prime: Hunters
All Castlevania games
Contra 4
GTA Chinatown Wars
All Phoenix Wright gamers (Including Apollo Justice and Miles Edgeworth ones)
Mario & Luigi games
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Megaman ZX games and Zero Collection
Was to mention these as well while editing, seems as though I didn't need to! Take it from someone with experience with these games, or at least the ones I kept for this message, get them, you won't regret it unless you are not into some of them for being rpgs or requiring grinding.

Very sorry Mr. Wright, Attorney sir. Zeo did say GET ANY OF THEM!111!!!

His fault. I'm just happy with any of them.

Allow me to clarify:
When I said "any", I meant "all". You should get all of them.

But seriously though, you might run into some story issues that don't make sense if you play them out of order.

kusumahendra: Zelda Minish Cap
Good Zelda game, but avoid the European version (unless you don't care about 100% completion) - it has a major development oversight - one of the bomb bag upgrades (in the shop) cannot be obtained at all.

Mother 3 is good, but only in Japanese (unless you find a repro cart with English fan translation).

That's true, it was; PLAY THEM. ALL OF THEM!!!!111!!!

I am, starting at number 2. :P It will be fine, I'll muddle through it. Or read the first story online or something if I get too lost.

Y'know, it just now dawns on me that in the midst of all this talk about Phoenix Wright, I completely missed the opportunity to shout "OBJECTION!"
Doggone it!
