I see, so it all about what you want, not what the autors want? You could argue that the point of a remaster could be that it is an opportunity for the authors to fix what they consider mistakes, and make the game they always intended to make

these were not mistakes,if they always wanted fewer butts than why didn't they do that in the first place?
these are ideological changes what happened to the team probably by having different leaders

They can have changed their intent, that doesn't make it for the better. They are free to change their intent just like we are free to buy or not buy. There may even be some people who would only buy the new (what I would call "censored" for lack of a better term) version, just like people who don't like the change.

However, it is not a 1:1 relationship between developer/publisher and consumer. They are effectively the gatekeepers to the content. Sure, the consumer can find a different game or franchise to suit their needs, but that is beside the point. Once a piece of art is out in the world, I would argue it becomes something more than just that of the creator's.

To the point that the original should at least be preserved or be released side-by-side.

I don't know how some of the pro-censorship folks feel about Star Wars' special edits/prequels/Star Wars Disney sequel trilogy where the true original series is inaccessible, or even Beamdog re-releases where the originals are not available for separate purchase, but to be consistent you need to be in favor of all of those too...against the fans of the original.

For a while I was really confused. Should I should not buy it because of censorship? But since I saw a rather good summary from Yong Yeah about this I think these few cases where they changed the angle are fine. So I'm reassured to go with my original plan to not buy it because of DRM :)

It's a good game trilogy and hopefully EA nor BioWare fucks it up but we will see. Looking forward to see what they have done to ME1.

It just occasionally uses that angle for a few seconds in conversations. It's not like that for the full length of it. Definitely nothing that would necessitate a change but they smelled free internet points and jumped at the opportunity.

With the way Bioware is these days, this doesn't surprise me at all.

Might buy it if the first one is a lot improved. Kinda bored of the highly praised second one (finished it 2 times like the first one) and playing the third one again.. I don't know. Not seeing much difference in them in the trailer and I mean how many times Kaiden must die and that planet scanning. Ugh. At least first one had mako and repetitive bases.
