And here I thought we're in real trouble.
My Dick can save us all.
Not really a NEW threat... The threat has always been there
Don't worry, we will be safe on Mars by then. Last I checked, colonizing Mars was literally a few weeks away. Start packing.
How dare you get my hopes up like that.

It's shit. But it's one of those movies that kinda had to get made, otherwise ppl would keep asking "why isn't there a movie about a meteor heading to earth" forever.

It wasn't great but it wasn't very good. It was better than "Deep Impact" which came out at about the same time.

Meteor is the way to go.

GR00T: Ah, well I was figuring the source might be the Onion...

OneFiercePuppy: Well, it's almost as reliable, if not quite so reputable.
Considering The Onion's satire, it's always a little amusing to watch people on the road to figuring that out.

I was thinking, maybe before a real threat could materialize, we'd already have future gravity-mounted orbital lasers to decimate the asteroids to smithereens. But, I'd rather we work on terra-forming more planets. Perhaps, with greater space, I could own one of those futuristic house-thingy's with a bio-dome.

Yes, I loved it too. I remember being very excited finding a good scifi movie from the 80s that I didn't know about. It's my favorite decade for the genre.
Highlander is fantasy sucka! Outland, now thats sci-fi, tremendous!

tinyE: He has done LOADS of Sci-Fi films.

His most famous is probably but the one that gets the most talk in here is [url=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070948/]Zardoz.
Ah god dammit thanks for that :P It's been years but I had finally managed to get that stupid hairy red bikini out of my head
