It's shit. But it's one of those movies that kinda had to get made, otherwise ppl would keep asking "why isn't there a movie about a meteor heading to earth" forever.

It wasn't great but it wasn't very good. It was better than "Deep Impact" which came out at about the same time.

Meteor is the way to go.

I was thinking, maybe before a real threat could materialize, we'd already have future gravity-mounted orbital lasers to decimate the asteroids to smithereens. But, I'd rather we work on terra-forming more planets. Perhaps, with greater space, I could own one of those futuristic house-thingy's with a bio-dome.

Yes, I loved it too. I remember being very excited finding a good scifi movie from the 80s that I didn't know about. It's my favorite decade for the genre.
