As much as the protagonist looks cool and badass, I miss Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors. :(

It should be an awesome movie anyway. Looking very forward to it. ^_^

I was jsut about to start a thread about it :)

It looks... ok? I'm not really sure what to make of it, but I think it does look better than Episode VII did. I like the look of the characters more. I don't know who they got to play Mon Mothma but she looks almost identical, to me at least, so props for that too. I'm not going to be overly optimistic about any new Star Wars movie after Blandness Awakens, but this at least didn't look outright bad. Not that we've seen much so far.

Disappointing trailer. It had way too much of that girl either running, or just standing around. This was supposed to be a heist movie, so I expected an ensemble piece, like Ocean's Eleven in space, but we saw almost nothing of the team she's working with. Just a few shots of Diego Luna also just standing around, and a couple of seconds of Donnie Yen fighting.

Still looking forward to the movie though, always wanted a Star Wars movie with no jedis in it.

Looks cool. A new movie taking place at the same time as the original trilogy is a good idea, but they need to stay damned faithful to the original designs if they want to avoid massive criticism from the fandom. Fortunately, from the trailer it looks like they've done that quite well. It also looks like they've found a suitable replacement for Caroline Blakiston as Mon Mothma (as in she actually looks like her).

There is a perfect universe somewhere where, after the success of Star Trek First Contact, Jonathan Frakes directed and starred in a Dark Forces/Jedi Knight based trilogy of Star Wars movies, and the prequels we know were never made.

So I can come out and say Fuck Force Awakens now?

Because fuck that movie :P

I hated most of the new charcaters between the hammy overacting and the inferior plot that tries to be like A New Hope and the bullshit moments like our Main Female Protagnist somehow succeeded in a Jedi Mind Trick.

And the villain sadly is a bitch and I hated his costume design, it looked increadibly plain looking and he looks nothing like a Son to Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher.

And the soundtrack oh my how utterly forgettable. John Williams lost his luster because he was phoning it in.

Does it matter? You realize you completely destroyed your assertion that the prequels were better than Force Awakens when you had to throw in an animated series and remove episode 1.
