Dark_Ansem: You know, if people talk without having a clue, name calling is deserved. Also, I do NOT tolerate ignoramuses like that posting fake news and misinformation. I dare any of you to post evidence that Beamdog unilaterally told GOG to stop selling the old classics.
What people like the above troll are doing is spreading falsehoods and hatemongering for shits and giggles.
Also, I am quite irritated by this mobster behaviour of downvoting who tells the facts and upvoting who spreads falsehoods.
paladin181: You know, I don't suffer fools kindly and I'm a bit of a dick, and I've managed to never get banned because I'm rarely downright rude to people. Name-calling isn't appropriate. Also, stop caring about the rep; the only thing it affects is your ability to post a link without putting quote tags around it. Do you think having a 1500 rep helps me? I don't care. He's not a troll. He has posted his supporting evidence, and you have posted yours .Both are quite convincing if you'd stop condescending enough to realize it. He's not wrong, and yet, neither are you because while the truth is out there, unless there's a legal investigation or release of information down the road, we'll likely never see it. All 3 parties have pointed the finger at one another. He's not spreading falsehoods anymore than you are.
My advice, which is totally unsolicited, is to calm down a little and not be so insulting to those you're trying to have a conversation with. Please.
EDIT: Well, almost 2000 rep. Who knew!! :P
And while I appreciate that, I'd like you to be as "righteous" in calling out someone slandering an innocent, until proven guilty, party. Why is there no hatred towards GOG? After all, MY evidence (which is actually made from source stuff, and not conspiracy theories) shows that the decision is joing. Why the same behaviour is acceptable if carried out by one party and despicable if coming from someone else?
I don't care about reputation itself. It DOES bother me, however, that effectively this community is prone to be fooled by Daily Mail titles instead of doing its research.
