nes400: -all games here are perfected in a easy user experince
-
PRICES are very affordables to anyone, not to mention during SALES
-community is great
-some of games are like digital collectors edition
-no need for extra patches to find, all in one "good old install"
-ost even in flac format which i know many people are really ocd about that but hey its better than mp3
Well Steam has also Sales, also has communitys and some are really great ,especially the groups other gamers created and most soundtracks are also offered as FLAC nowadays.
Plus with the market and children going crazy over weapon skins, weapon crates (cs:go) and trading cards you can make a laughable amount of money by just playing games. I once made 1,64€ while playing CS:GO for about 2 hours :D
To be honest i always thought this "gog vs. steam" thing kinda silly.
As a consumer why can't you just sit back and say "hey, Steam has some great things to offer, Origin has some great things to offer, gog has some great things to offer, so i just use them all and grab the best offers from each service" instead of this childish "oh steam sucks so bad and gog is the saviour of pc gaming" (which isn't different to all the Valve fanboys who are stuck in Gabe's big fat ass praying to him as the saviour of pc gaming)
I think gog wouldn't survive if they tried to compete with Valve/Steam
Valve already made billions with Steam and continue to rack in more money than CD Project could ever dream of making. All the big publishers (except EA) love Valve, love Steam, love DRM and the total control they have with Steam. There's a reason you don't get those games here on gog and why so many retail pc games enforce you to use Steam.
gog should stick to their own audience group: Continue to bring back classic games at a affordable price, sell great indie games and if a bigger publisher wants to sell his games here so be it.
