Thank you. I would have added them before, but I pretty much rely on others submitting translations - when I have time to do something, it's mostly to check if a game already includes languages by default.
Hello again!

Today I created two german language Patches for Arcanum:

- Arcanum German Translation TEXT ONLY ( ~25 MB )
http://www.apeironstudios.com/gogarcanum/gog-arcanum-german-textonly.7z

- Arcanum German Translation Complete with speech and movies ( ~ 365 MB )

Have fun!

Woah, will defintely try this one. Thanks. How good are the german voices? Texts are also included in the complete package (just to be sure)?
Yes the Texts are in the complete package too, you just need to download the big whoop :)
The german voices are..... german voices :D They are as bad as the original ones in my opinion ;)

By default it's in C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Beneath a Steel Sky ("Program FIles" may be called something different depending on the language of Windows).

If you're on Vista or 7, you'll need administrative rights to edit the file (open notepad as administrator, and then open the file from within notepad). On XP that isn't needed.
Alone in the Dark: click on the Setup icon in the start menu and pick your language amongst French, English, German, Italian or Spanish.

This seems to be used for Alone in the Dark (voices remain in English though) but not for Jack in the Dark.

Note that this is about "Alone in the Dark 1+2+3" not "Alone in the Dark" but I did not check about the 2 and the 3.

2 and 3 are separate installers though, aren't they? I doubt the same utility would affect them. I'll add the first game, please update if/when you find out about the other two.

Also since it's included in the GOG download rather than an external patch, the GOGMix has been updated.

Ok, I didn't plan to play the other two so soon but I installed them and they are English-only. There is a english.pak file for each game, I'll see if I can find a way to switch them to French.

[Edit 1]Not completely legal but abandonware sites still have the trilogy (at least in French) with the newspapers[/Edit 1]

[Edit 2]I tried with both games and taking FRANCAIS.PAK from an abandonware version, renaming it to ENGLISH.PAK and erasing the GoG seems to convert the game to French. Only the voices remains in English but it is already the case with the GoG version of the first one. If someone wants them, I can upload them to rapidshare or somewhere else.[/Edit 2]

Please do, I'll remove it if I get complaints about its legality. I believe a bunch of other translation patches are done in the same way.

Here it is : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UDRKTL4O

It contains the Mystery Examiner and manual of the three games in French + French language files for Alone in the Dark 2 & 3. If it is not anymore on rapidshare when you try to download it (because they remove it after 30 days without download), ask me and I'll upload it again.

I'll be adding The Witcher to the list later today.
