Sooo I hate most movies, ever. They're too long, I get too antsy, I hate blood, suspense, horror, and I just can't be assed.

Still! I've agreed with my friends to host a movie nite too. There's a big bunch of us and we all 'host' a nite with a movie (doesn't have to be a favorite). Entertain. Be adults (...). Serve things. You know teh drill. The group is getting larger and larger as it's all getting planned and I fear I'm going to be watching a movie most days (or weekends) for the rest of my freakin' life. This is my own personal hell.

Can anybody recommend an interestin' movie? We're not allowed to Google (etc) other people's recommendations, so it's all a bit in the dark unless you've already seen it. I guess that's the point. Unless it's Disney or Pixar I've heard of nothing, ever.

So far I'm waaay down teh list, at least. I know for a fact we have... uuuh... *looks*:
The Lion King (original)
Citizen Kane (?)
Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (?)
The Burning (?)
Clue (?)
Amadeus (?)
Legend (?)
Memento (?)
Labyrinth (:D!)

Poop, that's already alot, without countin' teh 'mystery surprise' ones.
tbh I kind of lost why I made this thread...

According to Randal down at the video store, these are pretty good:

"Whispers in the Wind"
"To Each His Own"
"Put It Where It Doesn't Belong"
"My Pipes Need Cleaning"
"All Tit-Fucking, Volume 8"
"I Need Your Cock"
"Ass-Worshipping Rimjobbers"
"My Cunt and Eight Shafts"
"Cum Clean"
"Cum-Gargling Naked Sluts"
"Cum Buns 3"
"Cumming in Socks"
"Cum on Eileen"
"Huge Black Cocks with Pearly White Cum"
"Girls Who Crave Cock"
"Girls Who Crave Cunt"
"Men Alone 2: The K-Y Connection"
"Pink Pussy Lips"
oh yeah, and, uh, "All Holes Filled with Hard Cock".

Watch Clue for fun mystery stuff or Labyrinth if you want to watch an older man/elf thing perv on a youngish girl for a couple hours with muppets as other characters(this one is actually good if you like catchy music and fantasy despite how I describe it).

Also Citizen Kane is boring so only watch it if you want to take a nap.

Also also why are you peeps not allowed to google stuff? F it i'd do it anyways...who's gonna know? o.0
Joe Vs The Volcano - best movie ever.

Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Wonderful hilarious one-of-a-kind movie.

And I hate movies, too. Too long, I get antsy.

Do you mean one from your list or in general?
From your list I like Labyrinth and Legend. Both are kind of dark fantasy. So maybe you won´t like them.
Amadeus is a ultra long historical epic, as far as I remember. And Memento is good as thriller, but rather mean as regards content.

If you want recommendations for other movies, what kind of topics do interest you?

I'll be a withered skeleton by the time they finish. Also, they look pretentious and I think I hate them in advance?

1. If you want "short" try Short Circuit 1/2...funny comedies with some action about a robot come to life.

2. Join the club. o.0

THIS IS A GOOD SUGGESTION! I'll look into Short Circuit! +1

Need more ideas like this. Moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Army of the shadows (1969) by Jean-Pierre Melville.
Maybe Ready Player One if they haven't seen it already.

Edit: Yeah, it's a bit long, but gaming related, so perhaps endurable.

Any Ghibli movies. Try Ponyo or From Up on Poppy Hill to brighten the mood.

Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Wonderful hilarious one-of-a-kind movie.
I'm not even kididng, but speaking of...
The Money Pit
Tom Hanks and Shelley Long. Wonderful hilarious one-of-a-kind movie.

Also...
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Steve Martin, Michael Caine and Glenne Headly. This is the first movie I've seen Michael Cain in, and he is hilarious.

And finally...
HouseSitter
Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn. Once again, amazing comedy I get glued on, whenever I catch it on TV.

Kind of a weird request ... You hate most movies and despite that, you have agreed to watch loads of them suggested by your friends, and for the one night you are in control over what movie will be shown, instead of picking a lesser evil, a favorite of yours or at least one you can tolerate, you ask strangers to suggest even more random titles that you will probably hate? :D
