Spectacular confusion between history and historiography (of the most ethnocentric kind). The scientific discipline has evolved way beyond this, for a long time now. But of course the local history is more eventful than any other's, if you go by the list of subjects taught in local schools.

Maybe in your school. In educated counties people are actually tought about world history. Not progressive gendered historiography of male opressors.

When they are taught about world history, in a more objective perspective than through the (understandably) ethnocentered school basics, they end up with a completely different perception of the world than yours. You're the typical product of short-sighted, minimalist, history courses.

As I've said. Progressive social studies teach that everyones else's education is inferior "shor-sighted ethnocentered" history courses, it doesn't concern itself with actual events of history. You are the typical product of such "education". Or maybe I should say indoctrination.

No, you can clearly see by things like the cries of 'white people must atone for historical slavery!' that the courses you're referring to are much, much less objective than normal ones that aren't filled with propaganda. That shows an ignorance towards history, what slavery was and who engaged in it. AND the people teaching that propaganda try to convince people that their bias is somehow a 'more objective perspective' while teaching a skewed version of history.

LootHunter: You are essenitally putting the cart before the horse. Most historically significant figures were leaders, scientists and artists of the Europe. Europeans were white and most Europeans who did partake in historical deeds were men. That's why history and stories are dominated by characters based on those European men.
Let's see: Jesus was a Hebrew; Muhammad was a Saracen; Genghis Khan was a Mongol. Yup, all white Europeans.

But Jesus was white! :D
Why do these progressives insist on changing our history?! They should make their own history instead of attempting to get the books to change ours! The audience for these books were white, nothing wrong with Jesus being white!

(not exactly analogous, but I still thought it was kinda funny)

Jesus, an innocent victim of judicial murder, doesn't belong in a list with evil warlords like Muhammad or Genghis Khan.

Jesus was a cult leader.

They only had a bad childhood though. While Jesus was loved - you can't compare that... ;-)

I said MOST not ALL.

And I use caps because you deliberately miss details.

LootHunter: I think that Europe history is the history most western people are familiar with and thus can draw inspiration from it or use it as a setting. As for being interesting, it definitely had more notable events (I've already mentioned wars and scientific discoveries) than any other continent. Well, maybe except Asia. But I don't remember much people asking for more games about China history or inclusion of more asians.
Because, yeah - make your conqueror to be mongol, based on Genghis Khan, and you will get all "you are demonizing non-white people" flak from exactly the people like Telika and JoeSapphire.

And I don't want to even start on what can of worms you'll open with Muhammad.

And, as people already mentioned, most Jews DO belong to Europid group. So there is no particular reason to think that Jesus didn't.
