[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

Dogmaus: This forum badly needs to get rid of this downvote button if people keep spamming it creating a negative environment. It feels like you must be scared to say anything or get downvoted. But who cares, what are there points for? Do you get a free game evey 1000 points? No, so, it's really useless. If you people are so annoyed at normal forum exchange of opinions go follow a page like ggdeals. When AER is free I'm glad to read opinions about it. When unknown games are free on itchi.io I'm happy to read opinions on them and find out if they are just shovelware or a tech demo or a real enjoyble game.

However, it doesn't hurt anything when they're spread out and if it were that big of a deal, the GOG forum mods would take care of it.
I....I was ridiculing the dude with a mere comparison! It was not directly about current events.

If anything, I'm calling out how boneheaded it is for someone to diss people caring about the integrity of threads like this. And here we go making a whole discussion on it! You've also got to be kidding about the forum mods as well, because this forum isn't quite like the other boards elsewhere. If they've had a real presence, they'd have made note of those posts and removed them before anyone has to put in the effort for community policing in the first place. The downvote system gets abused like it's freakin' YouTube, and pretty much cheapens everything this is all about!

All because of jerks like those guys.

Anyway, just dropping in the link for Farming Simulator '16. Already got '19 a while back, but I'm also farming IRL at the same time, so reality and virtual worlds are blending a little too much for my taste. It is what it is.

I can think of two things that may be going wrong.

1) You may be region locked, in which case you'd be out of luck.
2) You may be looking at the PS3 edition, which is not free (but is on PS Now). In the PS Store, as browsed through the PS4, the PS3 version comes first. The one that's free is lower down, with the red "Playstation Hits" banner.

EDIT 2: Tested with VPN. Game not available in Germany, and probably other European countries.

Don't take it personally. For seriously obnoxious posts it's nice to see other people find it similarly obnoxious. If it's just a difference of opinion, just remember that opinions are like arseholes, nobody wants to see one that isn't their own.

FWIW I think the rating system cuts down on flame wars where you can register your disapproval instead of posting an equally inflammatory post. But that's just my opinion (_!_)

This topic is for Giveaways and Giveaways ONLY, followed by people who mostly don't have time and check here regularly to find freebies. Everytime someone posts something that's NOT a giveaway, that's thousands of minutes wasted from those people.
