yogsloth: (pre-post edit) Really Sage? Good god. Good friggin god.

Sage103082: =) If you are scum and you listen closely you can hear it. SHH listen. "I have been right in all my targets as town and as scum I was able to convince everyone to go after my picks.'

avatar
flubbucket: You really see trentonlf as town??
avatar
Sage103082: I do believe he is town. And if you are being truthful then yogs has to be scum.

avatar
agentcarr16: I'm Vanilla Town, and I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only one in the game.
avatar
Sage103082: What flavor do you have?

I might be wrong but I am inclined to believe Bler and if I do CSPVG as well as it seems there claims match up to each other.

@Bler - was it all a lie about finding your child you gave up at birth? (cause if so why bullshit flavor other then to through off town)?

- I also am very leery of a vanilla in a role madness game.

I am willing to leave Yogs alone right now for a better lynch candidate that I can say I have felt the whole game that there has been something off. RW - I think now is the time in the game to put everything on the table and claim and see what we know and what we can figure out.

Vote RWarehall
You need to Unvote yogsloth

Unvote yogsloth

We're moving a little too quickly for my taste. I'd like to hear from both RWarehall and bler before we do anything more, so I'm going to Unvote: RWarehall.

CSPVG: We're moving a little too quickly for my taste. I'd like to hear from both RWarehall and bler before we do anything more, so I'm going to Unvote: RWarehall.
I agree - my request is for RW to claim. I don't think we need to rush to lynch.

I was definitely ambiguous about when I visited RW, but CSP is correct, I visited RW on N2. As for N0 I only noted I had an action, I did not specify (yet) who I targeted. If he were guessing randomly which night the visit was, he would have a 1/3 shot. So 2/3 chance he's telling the truth. Which, compared to other gambits in play, is pretty good town odds.

@Sage - in retrospect, yes, that was unfortunate, and I realize my wild play in Day 1 hurts my credibility. Why did I play that way in day 1:
1) I was overly influenced by Wyrm and Kryp's theatrics.
2) I actually thought I'd given a tell pretty early that I had an investigative role.
3) I really didn't understand the culture of the game, and considering how much I aggravate JMich, I probably still don't. But I went a bit clownish for a while both out of frustration and out lack of an idea on how to actually play in this medium.

I too would like to hear a claim from RW on flavor, faction, and role.
I have a massive post I'm putting together. At least one person is telling a direct lie, or there is something deeply, completely, utterly wrong about this whole damn thing. I have a ton of work, so I am writing this up in word and will post as soon as I can. For the love of God, do not lynch anybody yet!!!
I'm rather surprised you all believe Bler with that blathering.
He "claims" he read me as "anti-town" but I have an "out"?
He either read me as anti-town or he didn't, which is it? If I have an out, that's not his read, now is it?
All he wants is my role claim. It should be pretty obvious.

I'm not going to tell you specifically what I can or did do...
I don't want to make it any easier for them...

But I will say this much...I have a role...
I visited Sage Night 1, but I'm pretty sure I didn't actually visit Sage.
Night 2 I visited Christi and I have doubts I actually did visit her as well.

Someone in this game is redirecting...
Strange no one has made that claim yet, huh?

I'll tell you what it means when someone tells me who I actually visited...
If you saw me doing anything at night then it was not me. Mine is a day action.
That answers part of my concern.

I'll just add this. Check the numbers...
14 players. If you really believe there would be only 3 scum vs. 11 town...
And the town has an arsonist, a bodyguard for the arsonist, a doctor, a backup doctor, a watcher/tracker, and a cop among other roles...
The scum would have to be seriously powerful right?
So far, we have a firefighter?

Even 4 scum vs 10 town with most of those roles confirmed...
Which means 3 of us 8 are scum.

It should be ringing alarm bells how quickly this wagon formed...
And why no one wants to follow Flub's lead...

Because flub is wrong and I'm not scum. You are also claiming cop I see as there has been no mention of a cop but you list it as a confirmed role for town. Now you are trying to say your reads were redirected? So what did you read when you visited Sage and Cristi?
sorry guys, I am overwhelmed today - real job stuff, shoulder is in utter agony, and my bundle launched a day earlier than I thought

(shameless plug here)

I'm almost done with my big post for here. Just trying to juggle 100 things at once right now.

RWarehall: So far, we have a firefighter?
If I were less charitable, I'd have a field day with this. Nice use of 'we', RWarehall.

Also, didn't Vitek say that we shouldn't expect this game to be balanced?

Lastly, when did we all decide that we would not 'follow Flub's lead'? I rather missed that memo.
I'm not claiming cop, I included Bler's cop claim and CSPVG's claim in that list. Those are not confirmed in my book.
I'm a town Handyman - I've picked up a few tricks over the years.

Night 1: I watched Sage and saw nothing which surprised me as Krypsen clearly came back to life. The day action excuse may cover this.
Night 2: I Roleblocked Christi, which I would believe should have prevented her death, but it did not.

Do you now understand why I believe I was redirected...

I stand by the word, "we" have one firefighter, flame-broiled, savory and delicious and now 6-feet under.
Hopefully we will have 3 more very shortly, at least one cooked perfectly.

Going full attack dog now, why is that?

There is a difference between a game being unbalanced and futile. if you really believe there are only two scum left, who somehow had even a chance to win, with a super investigator/arsonist (remember he has an investigative role, very powerful one knowing at least one of his three targets are scum. Then being protected by a guard and a doctor and a backup doctor). Doesn't that seem a bit much vs a 3-man scum team? That's not even mentioning the claimed cop and watcher/tracker roles...

As to not following Flub's lead...
What do you call putting me to L-2 with likely 3 scum in the game?
Goddamn, I just can't get this all done. Here's what I have so far and maybe I have to add more later:

CSPVG: I watched yogsloth night 1, and found that, other than myself, he was visited by dedo.
That’s impossible. That’s iterally impossible. There is something that stinks to hell here – none of this is making any sense.

Night 1 I commuted. I am HIGHLY tempted to quote the exact part of the PM, because it very specifically names the watcher as one of the roles that is affected. I know my choice to commute night 1 wasn’t strategically the best, but that Saturday afternoon, that’s the way I was feeling – to just duck down and GTFO – and so that’s what I did. My PM is very explicit – I can’t be killed, I can’t be tracked… I can’t be watched. This is the hill I will die on. If I was outright lied to by the moderator, I am going to be explosively pissed off, because I feel like there is misinformation flowing everywhere.

But let’s back up to flub’s claim.
1) Flub self-claims serial killer, and some of you just swallow everything he says down in one go, without question? God knows in this hot mess of a game what could be possible – but I am not inclined to just slap my vote down without thinking things through, and I’m shocked that several of you already seem to have done exactly that.
2) He says one of the players is guaranteed to be “anti-town”. What does that mean? Does it mean “Scum” exclusively? You’re a sucker if you think somehow such a ridiculous message would be that straightforward, and I have a bridge to sell you.
3) This is really a thing? The moderator is spoon-feeding scum rosters to the "Town" serial killer? Really? Does this make sense to anybody from a structural standpoint?

Somehow, some way, we are being led on by the game itself in order to bow and scrape to serve the arsonist. The whole game is set up somehow this way.

avatar
bler144: There was a Night 0, so I've had three runs. I'm not sure who else, if anyone would have had an action that night, but I did.
I ****ing knew it! I knew it! You all made fun of me, but I was right again! Dammit.

avatar
RWarehall: I'll just say this, logic dictates with all the "established" roles, with 14 players, we almost have to have 3 scum left out of 8.
*sigh* I don’t agree.

avatar
CSPVG: On night two, I watched RWarehall and found that, other than myself, he was visited by bler. Yes, I know how this one looks. Bler has already shared this information, and therefore it would be easy enough for me to come up with a claim like this. All that I can say is that this is what I did last night. I got the results I got, and that's it.
So after claiming to watch me, which was impossible, you watched a player currently under threat of quick lynch after Bler already said his action? Great, thanks.

avatar
Sage103082: =) If you are scum and you listen closely you can hear it. SHH listen. "I have been right in all my targets as town and as scum I was able to convince everyone to go after my picks.'

So here’s where I’m at. I had trent scored pretty firmly as Town, but now I am asked to believe through process of elimination that he is “anti-Town”. Not Scum, but “anti-Town”. Is it fair to say that a “Madbomber” that kills randomly is an anti-Town role? Except, of course, that trent sent in his night action and now claims it simply didn’t happen. Is he lying? Or did his role simply not work – just like Krypsyn and apparently just like me? Is that the gig – that our roles are all lies and don’t work?

I want everyone to think this through for a minute:

Flub makes a post that one of trent or me MUST be Scum. Some of you, without bothering to think this through, throw a vote down. Let’s say we lynch trent and he flips Town – or you lynch me and I flip Town. Who do you vote for the next day? The other guy, right? Without a thought, with speed, in a hurry? Remind me of how many players are left, again? What happens if we mis-lynch two days in a row? Some of you are shocking in your carelessness and haste right now.

So here’s where I’m at. Trent’s Day 3 role claim and subsequent defense of his actions are pretty bluntly scum-tastic. I mean, hello:

avatar
trentonlf: I don't want to believe flub, I have yogs so town that his claim seems totally implausible.

(ten seconds later, in the same post):

I believe yogs and RWarehall are scum, not sure if they are the only two or not.
Thanks, trent.

Vote trentonlf

I’m willing to take the ridiculous risk that it does all add up that trent was scum.

But if he flips Town, then the bullcrap is flowing free and wide and it’s not the players’ fault.

If trent flips Town, I will BEG every player with an investigative roll to use it on me. Somebody has to have a Cop ability – Role cop – anything, everything. I am not going to full role claim today – I need confirmation from somebody else because my overall feeling is we’re being railroaded. It seems obvious to me that this entire damn game is focused on and geared around trying to get the Arsonist to succeed. Giving him a Town-aligned bodyguard? And TWO doctors? And the attempt on his life magically fails? The Arsonist is the entire key, and we’re now being railroaded into two fast lynches and expected not to think about it. But nobody is thinking about lynching the Arsonist, are they? It’s just a free pass to the finish line for the serial killer. Hey-ho, howzabout that. If we do lynch trent and he's Town, then we Have to crack this nut because I'll be damned if I get framed by this crap.

Flub and his entire story stinks.
CPSVG and his magic tracker role that couldn’t have succeeded stinks.
All of our magic vanilla claims stink.

This game stinks.

I will flip town. I honest to God was sure you were town as well. Tell me this. How do we have a town guard for the arsonist yet the arsonist is not town? Was he protecting others from the arsonist or protecting the arsonist. The role is Town Guard of Arsonist, I see that as guarding the arsonist. If this is true then me or you are scum, and I am most certainly not scum. Scum was killed N1 by the arsonist, did scum kill one of their own to make flubs claim possible? That would be a bold move and I think too risky. If I am to believe flubs claim then you have to be scum.

Yeah, so you say. But guess what? So will I. And here we are voting for each other. Guess what happens if you lynch me? I flip Town and then guess who is next.

Let's say we lynch RWarehall, and he flips Scum. Is it game over? You think the Arsonist is going to die overnight? And what message is he going to bring Tomorrow, after he french-fries one of us? "Oh gee, guys, how did that happen? Let's keep looking for Scum, don't mind me as I barbecue somebody else, toodles!"

I don't know, maybe flub is completely straight and he's 100% Town and playing it so. If that's the case, then the game itself is loco. I just don't know. I just... I don't know anything anymore.
