Incorrect. We are talking about deployment and support not individual users. Companies purchase support contracts for their staff and projects.

If the users are knowledgeable that is great. Less tickets for minor issues and the rest of the contract team can focus on major issues and/or other endeavors which is a great way to expand.

I'm currently doing a contract for a community center today, these units will be used by random people that come in and out not actual staff so Ubuntu is great choice for places like this. Easy to deploy, support and use for common folks who don't care about the OS but just have set things they are coming in here to do.

While their are Customized Debian Distribution for enterprise work, the customers are requesting Ubuntu. I'm sure if Debian comes out with a good training and support package that will change but that's not where the money is from what I've seen.

In perfect agreement. I was only stating there will be no Debian contracts, since Debian does not offer this kind of service. Or better said the people behind it do not. Maybe third parties do, but I have not heard of one to be honest.

I hope for Linux to move as far away from resembling Wangblows 10 as possible, personally.

yesterday i wanted to watch a mkv on linux with vlc it got graphical errors while another vid player played it fine...
and linux is full of these errors , it is just doesnt worth the time

I just watched an mkv on Linux with vlc and it played just fine. In fact, I was using a Raspberry Pi 4, which is probably significantly less powerful than the system you got graphical errors on.

Yeah, Linux is so unreliable. That is why Microsoft runs Azure on Linux. Honestly, you constantly point out individual problems people have in Linux and say that is evidence that Linux just doesn't work while ignoring the fact that people have TONS of problems with Windows every day. Also, Windows has a lot of other built in problems around privacy and concerns about Microsoft's practices. You sound like a Microsoft evangelist. You might as well shill for Sony while you are at it. Just let people game the way they want. I don't mess with people on the way they choose to game, and people should let them set up whatever they want to play.

I didn't mistake it. It runs just fine as both. I think it says a lot that they would use a competitor to run their environment. Again, why does GOG and Steam need all of this support for Windows if is runs so amazing. According to you, every post that someone even has a question about Linux is a sign that it is flawed. Microsoft's KB must be a very uncomfortable truth for you.
