Debate challenges us to question our natural bias. We can't grow if we don't question what we believe, and we certainly can't ask ourselves those questions so we shouldn't chase away those who can.

Whilst I don't particularly agree that you were being trolled--it seems to have been little more than a difference of opinion--I do agree with you leaving this forum if you feel your time and energy is better spent elsewhere. I'm not sure if they all came back. But, there have been multiple mass exoduses over the years, the first being during that shutdown stunt when they needed to take the site offline for the transition.

Yes, there were many who felt compelled to announce their departure only to return and contribute to the purportedly "toxic" forums with more toxicity. To each their own.
