Always sad to see someone go.

Opposing views should always be welcomed, insults should not.

Debate challenges us to question our natural bias. We can't grow if we don't question what we believe, and we certainly can't ask ourselves those questions so we shouldn't chase away those who can.

Whilst I don't particularly agree that you were being trolled--it seems to have been little more than a difference of opinion--I do agree with you leaving this forum if you feel your time and energy is better spent elsewhere. Safe travel; this forum will likely still be here in the future should you change your mind.

Don't you mean all tentacles ;)

On a serious note, it's very easy to misinterpret written words, so perhaps an insult was perceived when none was intended. Yet perception becomes one's reality.

It's up to the OP if they want to be more specific.

Linko90: The door is always welcome if you ever wish to return good soul. I'm sorry someone's actions have resulted in your decision, the journey to improving the forums is admittedly slow, but hopefully if/when you return, you'll find it in a better state.
It is, but it does seem to be somewhat of an improvement lately. It's just a shame that more moderate action wasn't taken sooner.

Fora on the internet need some sort of rules to be enforced or they wind up a cesspool

I'm not sure if they all came back. But, there have been multiple mass exoduses over the years, the first being during that shutdown stunt when they needed to take the site offline for the transition.

Yes, there were many who felt compelled to announce their departure only to return and contribute to the purportedly "toxic" forums with more toxicity. To each their own.
