No substance, no words exchanged, literally with no budget...

And offering the keyboard and mouse meant... what??

This is pretty stupid.
Thanks, Azhdar, that put a smile on my face.
Wasn't the scene they parodied (allegedly) filmed off of John's new homeland, Ireland?

With the similar source material and accompanying soundtrack it may be a sequel to,

'Dangerous Dave in Copyright Infringement' !!!

It's a teaser. Honestly what more needs to be said? Adrian Carmack and John Romero are standing next to each other and ready to make a game together again after like 20 years.

Actually, I think this teaser is epic and emotional. I like it. I just want to see the announcement -> 25 April. Can't wait. :)
Wouldn't it be funny if Romero was just phoning this in and some small computer company in Thailand or Japan was making the game and what we ended up with was a Pokemon JRPG with teenage ninja girls fighting alien puppet masters who were invading the Earth with dinosaur robots? Romero was like, 'yeah whatever. Just slap my name on it and send me my 20%.'

John Romero presents 'MASTER GAIJIN GAL-FU WONDER FIGHT.' Coming to Steam early access this fall. With day one download for the upcoming pepper spray nut crack stealth suit DLC. Hai!
I guess this time nobody will be the bitch of anybody...
DaiKatana 2, coming to a broken machine near you!
Am I wrong to want to see these guys revisit the Daikatana concept?

I hope they get Tom Hall and Brenda Romero in as well. The four of them should come up with some good amount of fun. :)

Anyway, here's hoping whatever these people put out is awesome and fun and very fast and full of joyful murder.

EDIT: A weapon to turn enemies into little bitches (as in a literal canine) would be a sweet joke. :P

i laughed so hard at this :D

But a game from 2 veterans is always welcome! I love Romero and A. Carmack :D, i also think Tom Hall is still a friend with Romero. Imagine if J. Carmack would team up with his old buddies. It would feel awesome if they all got back. Not for a game. A Rigor Mortis would be good too.
Can't say I'm excited by anything Star Wars anymore, but let's wait and see what they're coming up with.

No, I would be unironically excited for a Daikatana reboot/sequel. Original was actually kind of fun once you got past the first chapter, and it had a lot of cool ideas.

I think it's a new IP though, judging from things Romero said previous to this.

I'm super excited to see Romero back in the saddle after so many years. Judging by his recent Doom level, he hasn't lost his touch for level design.

John Carmack is too busy chasing the virtual reality dream, unfortunately :(

He was always just the engine guy anyway.

The thing with John Carmack is that he is first and foremost a technology guy, not a game guy. So now that he's rich and bored, he'll go wherever his interests are held. Can't blame him there, I'd totally do the same.

Whatever Romero and Adrian end up creating, I hope it is more arcadey fun than script/story intense. One of Doom's strengths was its natural arcadiness, where you could jump in, play a couple of hours and get out, no strings attached.

Funny enough the lack of story in Doom was in large part John Carmacks contribution.
