gog2002x: Finished watching all 3 Hobbit movies (extended version wasn't avail. for me) and enjoyed the trilogy.
rtcvb32: I assume these are the new ones? I watched the first one, sorta had to with my gf back in 2016 and i was very disappointed myself.
Anyways, watched Mary Poppins. Amazing how much is in there that i don't remember as a child, listening to the lyrics of the songs. On top of how different movies are made then vs now. (
And not just the mixed animated handdrawn stuff)
I didn't know there were other versions, except maybe the animated version?
I watched Mary Poppins long time ago, and enjoyed it also. It was indeed colorful and lyrical and of course had good actors. I haven't seen many movies that like since.
You just reminded my Cool World with that mixed animated comment lol.
Enjoying movies is a matter of individual perspective I imagine.
Speaking of which, for me the 80s & 90s (even many late 70s) were an incredible era for me, not only for movies, but for tv shows, for games and even for book series. Many of my favorite songs are from those era! So glad I can listen to them on Youtube. My goodness, I could almost pass out from the sheer nostalgia that all brings.
Recently I discovered Tubi TV and Pluto TV and love re-watching old shows. (currently re-watching Battlestar Galactica (1979) series & Buck Rogers (70s) series)
