MaxFulvus: This list (leak ?) seems reliable, but I can't imagine a GOG secret society including VIP customers who have exclusive infos about upcoming releases.

Should we safely say it's a "GOG papers" ?
I can absolutely imagine a forum for devs where GOG would share info like this to help them plan their releases (ie, to not compete with "big-name" releases here). However I don't know why GOG would be so explicit and not more vague, unless they really weren't worried about NDA stuff.

Here's me pondering:
I can see Warlords 1 & 2 coming here, perhaps from Ubisoft since they have Warlords Battlecry here and have been releasing more things here in recent months. I can see more EA games coming because, similar to Ubisoft, it could just be that it's just taken a long time to get more of their games here because of legal; GOG fixes them up, gets 6 months - 1 year of exclusivity , then they go onto Origin (frankly I'm surprised GOG games haven't made it into Origin Access/ the Vault). I could see Cities Skylines coming later in the year when Paradox has had time to integrate it with Galaxy and perhaps gotten a good portion of the DLC out of the way, or something like that. And of course a good portion of those aren't controversial, like indie games mentioned. I can *kind of* see Lionhead games coming if Microsoft sells the Fable IP (since Lionhead is probably closing, it seems) or something like that.

I can appreciate the skepticism, but after GOG has come so far, is it really that hard to believe some of this?
Only the Command & Conquer serie astonished me. Until Tiberian Sun, they are officially abandonwares and already enhanced by modders for modern OS, so except if they are added to the GOG catalog as freebies, to decide to pay for them is a risky bet.

"officially abandonware" is a contradiction in terms.

Don't confuse abandonware with freeware (which Tiberian Sun is). "Abandonware" is just a loose term for an old game on which the publishers/devs/IP holders/owners haven't worked for a long time and for which enforcing any copyright violations is highly unlikely. Nothing can be "officially" abandonware.

Considering the game can officially be obtained only through the C&C Ultimate Collection on Origin, I question whether it is even free anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if EA sold them here only via the Ultimate Collection pack or if they took a route similar to Bethesda with Arena/Daggerfall (or even going the Dragonsphere route and actually charging for them).

So, because EA accepted to re-release the Tiberian Sun as a freeware, it is not considered as an abandonware ? So, the agreement of the publisher/dev/IP holder/owner is the main difference between a freeware and an abandonware, concerning video games ? If a game is not supported by anyone and/or available anywhere (retail or digital) after a long period of time or a specific date (for example, 1998), it's an abandonware, even if there is no legal basis for that term ?

In a nutshell, yes. But it's like "crapware" or "shovelware": everyone has their own definition.

Or going the Akalabeth route and releasing for free :)

Maybe, maybe not.
Sim Ant.... nom nom nom nom. Great game I forgot about. Actually hideous, but I still played it for more hours of my life than I care to admit.
What a curious list, but there's just so many there that seem implausible. Well, it'll be something to keep an eye on to compare what actually gets released from the list and when. :-)

Well stated!

Back in 2014 most users here would say that it was impossible for GOG to land Bethesda or 2K here. Time has proven that nothing's really impossible.

Even games like Warcraft and Diablo will probably get here when Blizzard recognises that they aren't selling as much on their site and decides to use GOG as a new market.

Heck, even Half-Life could probably get here, if it were not for Valve being complete assholes.

Pseudoman: Has anyone found anything else about "GOG's Develop" forum?

Could the allusions to a loyalty/rewards program be related to the mystery of "GOG Agents" on the forum?
Nope. GOG Agents has nothing whatsoever to do with that. ;)

Even given my hatred of Valve, I'd like Half-Life here indeed. Though not Half-Life 2; this game is the pinnacle of boredom simulators.
Ooooh, yeah! Bus Simulator 16! Bring it!

I don't know it's true or false.
SO I post it to ask you.

Why can't I Edit my Topic Subject...I found I make a mistake between Ture and True.....

*NOTE : With many titles submitted to CD-Projekt Red
for the approval for the GOG business platform, some
of these scheduled dates may change without notice.
Please keep up to date by checking the developer forums often.
Some of the above titles may be 'In Development' phase.
Hopefully it is true. I'd say none of the games on that list are beyond the realms of possibility.

Uh what? 2K was one of the Big 5, from a conference at the time of the TW2 announcement IIRC: Squeenix, EA, pre-sale LucasArts, Microsoft and 2K. In 2014, after EA and Squeenix made it here and Disney bought LucasArts, pretty much half the locals expected 2K to land any day.
Bethesda had always been expected to show up with pre-Steam titles here eventually.

Now this I think is in fact next to impossble. Both Valve and Blizzard strike me as companies that value exclusive control over their flagship IPs way more than some spare change they might get by going third-party DRM-free with the games which stopped selling.
